All or nothing (Levi x reader)

Chapter 5

You chewed your lip nervously as Erwin begun to explain the expedition. The ranks and who would be in them, what to do and such like that.

But none of it answered your question, he did this every time you asked about one, but you never asked this time.

Your eyes flicked to Levi, and he gestured his to Erwin, so you went back to paying attention to him instead. Did Levi say something? Did he asked for you?

"I can see you're getting anxious." Erwin said.

"Why are you telling me all this? It's more detail than any other times. Are you letting e come?"

You just wanted answers, you desperately wanted to know if you were going on them.

"Someone has requested you to be on the expedition for 'science', so yes, you'll be coming. I'll explain everything once again with everyone next week. If you have any questions just ask."

You sat there stunned and Erwin chuckled, he got up from the table but before he could go any further you jumped on him, crushing him in a hug.

"Thank you! I'll do my best!"

"I expect nothing less from you." He smiled.

Erwin ruffled your hair and you got down, watching him leave before excitedly turning to Levi.

"You weren't listening to a word of that."

"Nope! But I'm going!"

Without thinking, you happily crushing him into a hug as well before quickly pulling away muttering a sorry.

"Tsk."

Levi pulled a tissue out of his pocket and pressed it to your lip. You were confused but when he pulled it away you saw blood and laughed awkwardly.

"Oops, that'll heal right up!"

"You're hopeless."

"I get to go!"

You were behind happy. Your first expedition. So many questions flew through your head and you went to run away and you were stopped by someone grabbing your shirt.

"Since you were listening, I'm going to go through everything again. My office encore anything else."

"But Levi...!"

Levi shot you a warning look and you pouted, trailing next to him as you went to his office. You saw a few of your friends in the hallways, but when you went to speak to them Levi would interrupt you, demanding them to leave you alone.

"Asshole." You muttered as he closed his office door.

"Do you want to come or not?"

"Yes!" You squeaked.

"Well then, you actually need to listen to the details."

"Erwin said he was going to go over it again anyways!" You complained.

"Can you guarantee you'll listen?"

You opened your mouth then shut it again, shaking your head as you sat down.

"Exactly, now. There will be five main groups. One in front, two to the sides, one behind and one in the middle. This is what will carry the carts, understood?"

You nodded your head, watching carefully as Levi pointed to a diagram.

"Hanji's group will be located to the right, Erwin will be at the front, I will be to the left, Mike will be at the back, Luke will be in centre. There will be smaller groups scattered between them to make contact easier. Cadets will be mixed throughout the groups."

You nodded once more, following along.

"Now, what can signal flares be used for, and what are their colours and meanings?"

"They can be used for communication, letting others know about the presence of titans. They can also be used to hide soldiers from titans and stop fast moving titans too."

"Colours and meanings."

"Red means a titan has been spotted. It's used to for squads to avoid that area. Black means abnormals spotted, purple is for emergency's like someone is injured or something. Green means change of formation, it's fired in one direction by Erwin, which means that's the direction to go to. Blue means retreat. Yellow means the mission is over, be it failed or successful."

"Right, so if a blue flare is shot?"

"Retreat."

"Black."

"Abnormal spotted."

Levi nodded his head and picked up the diagram once more, telling you about a few other formations before he placed it back down.

"The purpose of this expedition is to explore the area and find where the titans are coming g in from."

"Alright."

"You and Eren will be in the centre group. You are NOT under any circumstances to use your powers. Do I make myself clear?"

"They can help a lot though!"

"Because if you overexert yourself you pass out, and if that happens someone may not be there to save you like all the other times."

You stared into Levi's eyes, they were softer than normal, almost pleading.

"Okay then. I won't use them, unless I absolutely have to. Deal?"

"Only if you are in a life threatening situation. Not any of your friends, not Erwin, Hanji, or myself, only you."

You nodded your head, holding your pinky up to him.

"I promise."

Levi wrapped his pinky around yours, the pair of you shook hands then he let go. You made a promise, and you weren't one for breaking them, if something were to happen to your friends yes you'd want to save them, but you'd have to use all your other skills in order to do that
