Secrets...

   PERCY POV.

  I noticed Annabeth has fallen asleep so I picked her up bridal style and carried her to the Athena cabin. I laid her down in her bunk and tucked her in and kissed her forehead. I swear I saw her smile a little bit.
It was only eight in the evening so I went to Bunker 9 to meet with Leo about the surprise for Annabeth.
  I walked into the forest and found the door to Bunker 9 wide open. I walked inside and found Leo working on something.

"Hey Repair Man, I need a favor." I told him and walked up to him.
  Leo turned to look at me and smiled.
  "What's up Perce?" He asks.

"Well-um-er, ugh fine I need something made but you have to keep it a secret." I tell him while I scratch the back of my neck. 

  "Ok you have to tell me what you want." He tells me with a Duh face.

"Uh ok I need a ring made." I tell him in a hushed tone.
  But that didn't matter he jumped up and slapped my back.
  "Wow, congratulations Aquaman, when are you going to ask her?" He said with a smile on his face and I could tell he was more than happy to be back.

  I laughed and told him I didn't know but that I wanted it made of celestial bronze with a green gem in the middle and two gray gems on the sides.

"I love the idea and I can make it but I will need you to get the gems for the ring." He told me.

   "Well I was already planning on getting you the gems because I know where to get them however it make take a few days." I tell him.
  He ageees and we bid fairwell. I walk off to the Poseidon cabin and get ready for bed and for the first time in a while I fell asleep with a smile on my face.

PERCY POV.
After breakfast the next day, Leo grabbed my hand and dragged me to Bunker 9 Annabeth looked at Leo like ge was crazy but laughed and walked off to the Athena cabin to get some work done of Half-Blood City.

  "What the Hades Leo?" I asked him when we got to the bunker. "Look man, I'm going to need you to get the gems so I can attach them to the ring." I completely forgot that I had to do that.
 
  "Oh I'm getting one today sometime." I told him.
  Annabeth will wonder where I went since Leo will probably head back to camp to hang out with his siblings but she will find out soon.

   I jump in and will the currents to bring me to my dads palace underwater. I get there in no time and swim to my dads throne room to see him sitting with his immortal wife Amphitrite, (she doesn't like me much.)
  I knock on the door and my dad looks up. "Percy, what brings you to my palace?" He asks me and gets up from his throne.
"Hi dad, I need a favor." I ask him with a pleading look on my face.
"What is it son?"
"I'm planing on proposing to Annabeth soon and I want to bring Poseidon and Athena together. If I could ask I would like a jewel from the palace to put on her ring." I ask getting quite when I'm done. 

  "Ahh," He smiles and laughs,
 
  "What Lady Athena would do to you if she heard you Percy, well I think this would be a good idea. And I think I have the perfect one."
  He makes his trident appear and takes a sea green gem from the center and places it in my hand. It couldn't be more beautiful.

  "Thank you dad Annabeth will love it just as much as I love her." Poseidon smiled again and I could tell he was genuinely happy.

We both said our goodbyes and he wished me luck on getting Athena to agree to the marriage.
  And honestly I knew I would need it.

  I swam back up to camp and willed myself dry as I ran to bunker 9 to see Leo working on the ring.

  He looks up from his work to see me standing there with the gem in my hand. He takes it from me and goes to work and polishing it and making it perfect.

"Where did you get it?, It looks expensive." He commented not looking up from his work.

   "My dad gave it to me and wished me luck on proposing to Annabeth." I told him.
 
He laughed a little and said,
   "You're gonna ask Athena right? Because if you do I wish you luck on not dying. And I would love to see you ask her by the way." He says with a hint of mischief in his voice.

  I roll my eyes and tell him that I'm going to Olympus sometime this week to ask.
  He keeps working on the ring when I walk back to my cabin.
  When I open the door I see Annabeth sitting on my bed close to tears. She sees me and runs up and hugs me.
I hug her back and ask,

"What happened are you ok?"

It takes her a minute to collect herself but she does respond,
"I thought you left, you disappeared and I couldn't find you it reminded me of when you went missing I have been sitting here for 2 hours."  She chokes out still crying.
  I walk us over to my bed and we lay down next to each other.

    I rub her back and suddenly feel guilty for not letting her know I was leaving. I could've at least told her I was going down to my dads place to see Tyson. But no, I had to be a complete Seaweed Brain and not tell her anything.
 
  I sigh and she looks into my eyes,

"You know I love you right? I'm not going to leave you, I won't give up on us and I'll be with you every step of the way. Whenever I tell you I love you, I'll always love you more than that."
 
She smiles at my words and she whispers a last,
"I love you too." Before she drifts off to sleep.
