Never getting away from me again

New Rome?

ANNABETH POV.

I woke up to the sound of breathing in my ear and something wet on my cheek. I opened my eyes to see my boyfriend fast asleep and drooling on my face. Gross.
I pushed him off the bed, (you know like a good girlfriend.)
As soon as he hit the floor he was up and in battle stance. His hair was a mess and he had drool on the corner of his mouth. I laughed a little at the sight. As soon as he realized where he was and that there was no danger he looked at me and rolled his eyes but he smiled anyway.
I checked my alarm clock by my bed it was 5:30 in the morning.
Percy realized what time it was and picked me up and walked me to the Poseidon cabin. I laughed silently bouncing up and done in Percy's arms and he had a goofy grin on his face. When we got to his cabin he set me on his bed and laid next to me.

"So, what you wanna do wise girl?" He asked me looking into my eyes. Gods, I'll never get tired of his sea green eyes.
"Well you never got to tell me about your plans for us in New Rome." I said to be honest I really wanted to know what he thought about our future.

He got a glint in his eyes as he grinned,
"Oh, well; They have a university there and I was thinking maybe we could go together you know have a somewhat normal life. Oh, and they have this amazing bookstore I thought you would like, the books are all in Latin but I heard Reyna talk about adding Greek versions. They have a lot of apartment complex's so maybe we could move in. But I don't know how that would work if we wanted to visit camp all the time. But it's really your choice because-."
I cut him off with a kiss,  I had tears in my eyes. Happy ones off course, it just made me so happy to know he wanted a education and a life with me in New Rome.
  "What's wrong, are you ok? Is it not what you wanted?" He asked me with a worried expression on his face.
I laughed slightly,
"You're cute when you're worried, your eyebrows get all scrunched together."
I wiped the tears from my eyes,
"No, this is exactly what I wanted. I'm just overjoyed that you put so much thought into our future." I told him with more tears rolling down my cheeks and a big smile on my face. As soon as I finished my sentence he picked me up and twirled me around, he set me down and kissed me. He tasted of sea salt and the ocean.

PERCY POV.

Annabeth and I walked hand in hand to the dining pavilion after we discussed plans for the future. S
  he walked over to her table and I sat down at mine when Jason came over to me.
"Hey bro" I said with a mouth full of cereal.

  "Hi" he said and sat down next to me. He always looks sad and depressed these days, I understand though, he lost his best friend. Piper has been acting the same way. Everyone misses the old Jason and Piper. But they need time to mourn and for them that may take ten weeks or ten years. 

"So, how you holding up?" I asked him knowing the answer was not going to be good,
 
"Eh it's getting better day by day, we still miss him though." He said shrugging.
   I was surprised, normally his answer was "no so good" today I actually had hope that we could get the real Jason back soon. Jason and I talked a little and for the first time in forever he actually smiled and laughed a little. It's the things like this that made me think we could actually overcome everything we've been through.

ANNABETH POV.
During breakfast Piper came down and sat next to me. I gave her a hug and continued eating, we sat in silence for a few minutes before she asked,
 
"Annabeth how did it feel when you lost Luke?" Piper knew very little about Luke, but she did know he was like a brother to me.
  "It was awful, I wouldn't talk to anyone but Percy for weeks. It was hard but I got over it. I had support from Percy and all my other friends so that made it easier." I told her as I set a hand on her arm,
"But I have a feeling this isn't about Luke." I said with a frown and Piper lowered her head.
  I've been noticing that she hasn't been talking to Jason very much, she hasn't been talking to anyone really but at a time like this she needs Jason by her side.
   I always feel like I'm suffocating with so many different emotions whenever Luke comes up in a conversation; Anger, sadness, fear.
 
  After breakfast the topic of Luke won't leave my mind so I got sit down on the beach next to the ocean and look at the clouds. I close my eyes and take in the sun when I feel someone lay down next to me. I open my eyes to see Percy laying next to me.
"Oh, I'm sorry did I wake you up?" He asks with a worried expression on his face. I laugh a little. "You look cute when your worried. And no I wasn't sleeping just taking in the sun." I tell him he breathes a sigh of relief and layers back down next to me.
  "Have you thought about new Rome?"
  He asks me with worry in his voice.
To tell the truth yeah I have but it's so far away.

  "Uh yeah I have, I do have a idea that I think would be better then new Rome." I tell him and start drawing in the sand. I draw the layout of what I think would be a good idea for all Demi-gods at camp Half-Blood. I finish it and show Percy, "It's called Half-blood City. It's got everything and we will be closer to camp."
  With every word Percy's eyes lit up and the worry left his face.
He hugged me as soon as my explanation was over, and whispered
  "That is the best idea ever Wise Girl" in my ear.
  I laughed and hugged him harder. We laid on the sand for the rest of the day and into the evening. Eventually we got up and went to the campfire, we were a little late but that's ok, no one questioned us so we just sat down. Some of the Apollo campers were singing a slow song and when you looked around the crowd you could see Nico and Will cuddling together, Piper in Jason's lap under a blanket, and other couples holding each other close.
Tonight the flames were higher and glowed brightly which made everyone happy to see that things were getting better.
After the campfire Percy and I walked down to the lake and sat down on the dock with our feet in the water watching the fish come up to talk to Percy.

PERCY POV.
Annabeth fell asleep a little while after we sat down on the dock, I picked her up gently and carried her back to my cabin. After struggling to open the door, I laid her down on one of the spare bunks and laid a blanket on top of her. I went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth put on my pajamas and got into my bunk and fell asleep.
