Tonight was the night the high school students of Françoise Dupont were hosting a concert in celebration of the new year. Despite the unbearable cold, most of the students and faculty had showed up for a chance to have fun on a Friday night. Stands with hot chocolate and hand warmers were set up around the campus, as the attendees attempted to stay warm in vain.

"Marinette, I'm so excited!" Alya chanted joyously, holding Marinette's hands and hopping around. Marinette laughed and copied her actions, because Alya's happiness was extremely contagious.

Adrien and Nino were positioned in front of them, as they waited in line to buy tickets and turned around at the high pitched screams. Nino ducked his head at the stares caused from the noise, but Adrien only laughed and slapped him on the back.

Alya suddenly stopped jumping and asked, "Wait, is Luka performing tonight?" Marinette had an undeniable urge to hide her face that was slowly heating up when her three friends faced her expectantly.

"Yes," Marinette answered. "I'm not sure what he is going to play though. He said it was a surprise." She fidgeting and adjusted her earmuffs nervously when she remembered Luka's wink the last time she talked to him about the concert.

It was a good kind of nervous though. The kind of nervous that kept you warm, even when it was freezing, which is exactly what Marinette needed currently.

________

Luka was usually a laidback and down to earth person, but he was alone and pacing back and forth in the high school music room. He could not help but contemplate how many ways his performance might go wrong.

"Luka?"

He jolted and twisted to see Juleka standing in the threshold of the door. "Oh, hey," he shakily let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding in. "What's up?"

"Nothing really," Juleka shrugged, walking into the room. "You look nervous though."

"Is it really that obvious?"

"I'm your sister. How you feel is pretty much always obvious to me."

"Fair point," Luka chuckled, gliding his fingers through his hair in an effort to calm down and sitting down on the bench in front of the grand piano.

Juleka strolled over to him. Her clunky combat boots making each step sound hollow against the old wooden floors. "You're going to do great," she reassured Luka, sitting down next to him and resting a hand on his back.

"Just because Marinette is watching does not mean you will mess up."

Wow, she really can read me like a book, Luka thought and repressed a small chuckle.

"Thanks, Jules," he said softly, resting his head for a moment on his sister's shoulders despite their prominent height difference.

A call over the intercom alerted everyone the show was about to begin. "All performers start making your way to the stage!"

Juleka stood up at the announcement. "Good luck. I know you won't need it though."

________

"Come on, Marinette!" Alya yelled, as she dragged Marinette to the front of the stage. Marinette was quickly apologizing to each person they almost knocked over along the way, while Adrien and Nino trailed after them with goofy smiles plastered on their faces.

Once the group was together at the front, Alya looked between Marinette and Adrien. Oh no, Marinette thought helplessly, analyzing her best friend's facial expression. That expression can only mean one thing.
