The DJ yelled over the roaring crowds, "Who dares to challenge the champion, Chat Noir?" The screaming and yelling didn't stop, but many people in the front row took a step back.
"I'll do it!" I blurted out, stepping out into the massive ring. Wait, what?!
The crowd got louder if that was even possible as the DJ began to laugh, "What's your name, little lady?"
I looked down at my red and black poka-dotted tank top with black leggings. There goes the light bulb!
"Ladybug!" I said with confidence that I usually didn't have, brushing my bangs back away from my face.
Chat Noir stared in awe at me, probably because I actually challenged him. "Let the dance battle begin!" The DJ called, twisting around a CD on his player, making the music start.
Chat Noir started with the biggest, most complicated moves which tired him out once he got to the end. Once he had striked his finishing pose, The crowd went wild.
"Ladybug, you're up!" The DJ said, no confidence in me at all.
I started off with some simple, easy moves which everyone booed then began to go into the more complicated moves. By the ending of the song, there was a breif pause before the crowd erupted with applause.
"And the winner is... Ladybug!" The DJ yelled as the crowd got louder.
Chat Noir's belt tail and ears drooped. Aww, poor guy...
He began to escape through waves of people, as I shoved through them, after him. "Chat Noir!" I called, stopping him at the exit. "Hey," I said, but got cut off by him.
"What do you want? You won." He sighed, in a low, disappointed voice while he wouldn't even look at me, head hanging.
I gave him my most genuine sweetest smile, "I was wondering, Want to be partners?" I held out my dry red paint smeared hand from putting face paint on as a mask, forming it into a fist for a fist-bump.
Chat Noir gave me the biggest, cheeky grin I had ever seen. "Sure!" He purred, astonishment and joy overtaking his voice.
"Pound it!" We said in unison, fist-bumping each other.
"I have a feeling we'll have lots of adventures together, Partner."
