This one-shot shall be set in medieval times. Chat Noir will be sort of like the Robin Hood of this time, while Marinette is just a lowly maiden working for her father who is the baker of the town. Also there will be two parts to this story so don't be disappointed if this one seems somewhat boring. Now that we've got that out of the way, let's get the story started!
_________
Marinette's P.O.V.
My footsteps hammered against the ground of the alleyway, but it could never be faster or louder than the slamming of my heart against my chest. "Come back here!" A thug's sickening voice called just a bit farther back down the alley.
"Leave me alone!" I called, trying to be somewhat confident, but it backfired miserably. It sounded more like a plea than a command.
I rounded the corner only to be met with something I had been dreading - a dead-end. No, no, no, no, I repeated over and over in my head, as my feet began to slow as I neared the wall at the end of the alley.
Finally, I had stopped, and was backing slowly toward the wall until my back touched it. The thugs, they were coming, and they were coming fast. I needed to do something, but what?
I looked around, but unfortunately, I found nothing of use. It was just a cage. A big cage with looming gray walls and thugs. As the seconds passed by, the walls seemed to squeeze me, making me feel like I was suffocating. There was no way out.
"We won't hurt you," I heard one guy say, as the gang of thugs neared and came to a stop when they were about three feet away from me.
"Not much at least," another guy from the gang joked, making my heart begin to gain rapid speed. Am I even going to make it out of this? I looked up at the small section of sky I had left without the gray outline of buildings. Is this the last time I will see the blue sky?
Crash.
Slam.
Thud.
"Hey!" A voice randomly yelled. "Leave her alone!" Wow, my hero, I thought. This is just like some freaked up fairytale. I turned my head up to see who my rescuer was. It was a man with shocking green eyes and a pile of golden hair to match. He had on an all black suit with fur lining the jacket edges. Strangely, he also had on a black mask, hiding his face for an unknown reason. What I thought was the weirdest?
He had bruises.
All over him.
He looked a lot like the men before me, having poor intentions, but it was strange. There was something different about him. He seemed - how do you put it? - trustworthy. Yeah, that's it - trustworthy.
"Step away from the lady," the blonde haired trustworthy boy commanded in a cool voice. Judging by his calmness about the situation, he had done this before.
All of the men were silent, examining the strange boy in front of them, before breaking out into horrid cackling. "What will do you if we don't?" The biggest of the men said with his deep voice, obviously amused.
"What will I do if you don't?" The boy said absentmindedly, twirling his leather belt tail in between his fingers. "I will be taking you all down, one by one," he said, finishing with a growl. A frightening glint was in his eyes, enough to scare an alley cat.
