Chat stared at me in amazement. His mouth was wide open. If it hadn't been so tense, I would have laughed at his expression.

"You really think that about yourself?" He said in shock. I looked at him oddly since his reaction wasn't really what I was expecting. Did he not hear me or something?

"How could you think that about yourself?" Chat's tone got tinted with anger, and his eyebrows furrowed. "You are absolutely amazing and beautiful." I blushed at his compliment even though his tone was irritated.

"You want to know who is insecure?" He growled under his breath, almost speaking to himself, but I knew he wanted an answer.

"Who?"

"Adrien Agreste," he spat out the name as if it were poison.

I looked at him in awe and wonder. I knew I should have been angry that he was talking about Adrien in such a foul way, but at the moment, I didn't care. I just wanted to know what was wrong with Chat.

"What do you mean?" I asked in a whisper, speaking softly so he wouldn't get angrier. I choked out a weak laugh, but it was pitiful and sounded very forced. "I'm sure Adrien has everything he wants. Servants, chefs, popularity-"

"But no friends," Chat cut me off my rambling. "Servants, chefs, and popularity may be nice for a short time, but all I ever wanted was a friend."

Did he just say I? I blinked at him in confusion. Then realization struck me harder than anything else could.

"Chat, are you-"

"Yes, Princess, I'm Adrien."

As his confession dawned on me, all of my world came spiraling down. I remembered everything- all of our memories together.

After a few moments more of echoing silence, I finally spoke. "Chat," I choked when a sob escaped from my once more. "I'm so, so sorry."

Chat turned to me and frowned deeply when he saw glistening tears dripping down my pale skin. At this sight, his immediate reaction was to hug me - and he did. "It's okay, Princess," he whispered as my heart nearly stopped.

"It's okay..."
