Marinette's P.O.V.
Rain hammered against the soaking concrete as thunder sounded and bolts of lightning lit up the sky in multiple flashes at a time.

I, already soaking wet, sighed hopelessly. "Gosh, when will this rain ever stop?" I grumbled to myself then continued to stroll along.
I still wasn't even close to the bakery, and I was already soaking.

Suddenly I saw a flash of black streak across my vision. What was that? I questioned myself as my heartbeat began to gain rapid speed. "Who's there?" I called out into the dark night.

In the blink of an eye, Chat Noir leapt in front of me. I slipped backwards in shock, but luckily Chat grabbed my hand firmly and helped me back up. Slightly thankful and slightly angry with him, I grunted in thanks.

"What are you doing out at a time like this, Princess?" Chat asked as his feline ears turned and twitched.

"I could ask you the same question," I replied, crossing my arms across my chest.

"Nothing," Chat Noir shrugged which made me curious. Chat is never like this. Something must be up.

"Alright then."

Chat Noir looked up at me with the most break-taking green gaze. "I brought something for you, by the way," he said. Removing his hands from behind him, he turned to reveal a bright red umbrella. "I thought you would be able to use it." He explained as he moved the umbrella toward me.

I felt my face heat up. Dang it, Marinette, why do you always have to blush over the tiniest things?
"T-Thanks..." I finally breathed out, even if it was still in a stutter.

"You're welcome," Chat said with a blush - yes, a blush!

I reached out and tried to grab the red umbrella, and I scolded myself since I nearly flinched away when my pale skin touched Chat's leather gloves. Finally I snatched the umbrella away from his hands, not wanting anymore awkwardness.

"Anyway I had better be going," I said, trying to break the uncomfortable silence still lingering in the air. I opened up the giant red umbrella, and it covered both of us.

Chat Noir gave me a playful smirk, and delicately raised my hand to his lips. "Goodbye for now, Princess," he murmured then kissed the back of my hand. I shivered at the warm touch, and then after a few stunned seconds, I looked up to see that Chat Noir was nowhere in sight.

I smiled and blushed as a few small giggles escaped from my mouth.

"Silly Kitty..."
