"Adrien, please don't do this..." Ladybug whispered, slowly sinking to her knees in surrender.
"Don't you dare call me that pathetic name! I'm Chat Blanc!" The akumitized Adrien screeched in agony. His once joy-filled, green eyes were now like a bright green blazing fire, destroying everything in its wake.
Ladybug hadn't felt this weak in her entire life, but she still held her own. "No, it's Adrien," she hissed through her gritted teeth, glaring at the supposedly Chat Blanc. "Nothing will ever change the memories I have with you, as Adrien and Chat Noir, not even Hawkmoth."
Chat Blanc's angry expression almost immediately morphed into a mischievous smirk. Ladybug felt fear grip her heart, as she watched her former partner slowly approach her. Chat Blanc bent down to Ladybug, since she was on the floor, but she didn't even dare to look up. He doesn't deserve to see me, Ladybug thought defiantly, her rage building every second that passed.
But to her surprise, Chat Blanc firmly grabbed her chin to make her face upwards. When their eyes met, Ladybug saw Chat Blanc's eyes falter for a moment, but it left as quick as it came, and the same fire that was in his eyes as before came back. "I wouldn't hold your breath, my Lady, because both Adrien and Chat Noir are gone, and they're never coming back," he whispered, spitting his nickname for her like poison.
Ladybug's sides heaved, as she panted heavily. How did it happen so fast? She thought helplessly.
As she gaped at Chat Blanc's face, a purple and rigid frame overcame his face like hovering glasses. Chat Blanc heard a voice in his ear, as he looked at the frame bordering his eyes. Take her miraculous, a menacing voice hissed, causing Chat Blanc to turn his attention to Ladybug's earrings.
The heroine realized what the villain in front of her was about to do, so she quickly cupped her hands over her ears in an effort to keep her earrings safe. It didn't work; Chat Blanc grabbed firmly onto Ladybug's hands, and moved them away from her ears.
This is it - the moment Chat finds out my true identity, Ladybug thought, as Chat Blanc moved his to take her miraculous, brushing her hair aside. Finally, after what seemed like forever of staring and thinking, Chat finally unhooked my earrings, and took them off.
Ladybug rubbed her ears; they were tender, since she hadn't taken her earrings off ever since the day she had gotten them. It felt terrible, like she had just lost a piece of herself. "Goodbye, Tikki," Ladybug whispered quietly, as she watched Chat Blanc get up, her miraculous in hand.
A red light flashed, and Ladybug was gone. Now it was just plain Marinette, who couldn't handle this. She had never wanted to be a miraculous holder, and bear the burden of being Ladybug, but she did it anyway. Now she was on her knees, without her miraculous, begging for her life. How time flies...
"Marinette?"
