Austin's POV

"Sophie I love you, you know that right?" I said to her quietly, still holding her tightly in my embrace as she nuzzled her head into my neck. She was silent for a minute, the silence making me apprehensive when I finally heard her let out a small breath.

"I know Austin" she said quietly, the absence of the words being said back to me making my heart feel like it was ran over by a semitruck, wondering if I really did fuck up that badly that everything she felt for more was changing in the blink of an eye. "I love you too" she said quietly, after what felt like years of hesitation. I let out one of the biggest sighs of relief at her words, wrapping my arms around her tighter, placing a small kiss on the top of her head.

"I guess right now would not be the best time to introduce you to the rest of the team" I said with a laugh, hoping to lighten the mood after the recent situation that just happened between us. I heard her chuckle slightly, the sound making my heart beat faster realizing that I hadn't lost her completely.

She shook her head against my chest "no probably not. I'm not ready to be the butt of everyone's joke right now" she said, the happiness in her voice leaving just as quickly as it came. She was right though, they had been drinking since before we got here and I am sure by now that Smitty spread the word to everyone and I didn't need anyone else to disrespect her right now. I rubbed her back slowly thinking of something else we could do, preferably where we could be alone.

"Why don't we just go down to your place and get your stuff baby" I said to her quietly. "We can stop and get some sushi on the way back and we can just forget this day even existed" I said, my hand running through her long light brown locks, my grip still tight on her as I tried to do the best I could to make today up to her.

"Okay Austin, that sounds good" she said, lifting her head up off of my shoulder the hint of a small smile hanging on her face as we broke apart from each others embrace, the absence of her body against mine noted as a cold feeling crept up in her place.

We climbed off of the bed in my room, grabbing her hand in mine as we walked towards the front door of my house, much to my surprise the boys already down in the music room and no where near us. I was thankful for that because if one of them had said anything to her about what we were doing in the living room I would definitely be fighting to keep my mouth closed and not cause a scene.

We walked to my raptor, as I opened the door for her helping her climb in placing a small kiss on her lips before she slid into the passenger seat as I closed the door behind her. I quickly walked over to the drivers side as I climbed in starting the engine and pulling out of my driveway. "Aren't you going to get in trouble Austin?" she asked me, her eyes just barely meeting mine, my heartbreaking knowing that what we did earlier was the reason. Whether she forgave me or not, I still felt like she thought I knew Smitty was in there watching our every move.

"Yeah probably, but it's fine" I laughed shrugging my shoulders as I pulled out towards the direction of her house. "Spending time with you is far more important to me than hanging with the guys as we pretend to work on something for a new album that won't be happening until next year" I laughed.

She gave me a small smile and I instantly wondered if I was trying too hard to make up for everything that had happened today since we left the airport in Salt Lake City. I reached my hand out gently grabbing hers in mine as I gave it a tight squeeze. "Soph?" I asked her quietly.

"Yeah Austin?" she asked me, her gaze down on our connected hands as I felt relieved to feel her thumb slightly dance across the inked skin on the top of my hand.

"Are we okay?" I asked her, not being able to hold it in anymore. She just wasn't acting herself and rightfully so. I couldn't imagine her being thrilled that one of my friends watched as she pleasured me in my living room. She nodded her head in response, but the look on her face didn't match what she was trying to tell me.
