Austin's POV
"Cheryl, what the fuck are you doing in here" I laughed, covering my very exposed manhood from her as I quickly walked back towards the bed and covered myself with the blankets.
"Good question Post. I got a message that you wanted me to come and talk to you, but by the looks of it you weren't expecting anyone but that cute little wife of yours" she said with a laugh, her reference to Sophie making me smile. It was nice to know that someone liked her for more reasons than wanting to get in her pants.
"That's true," I said, the both of us looking at each other awkwardly as I cleared my throat and rubbed at the back of my neck.
"So uh, how's the party I guess?" I asked with a laugh as a loud laugh left her lips in response.
"It's great. But since I now know that you didn't want to talk to me I am going to go and wring Chris's fucking neck. I was actually winning pong!" she said with a laugh.
"Wait Chris?" I said sitting up as I quickly pushed myself to the edge of the bed making sure to cover myself before I grabbed for my boxers on the floor and stepped into them. It wasn't like she has never seen me walking around in my boxers, shit I did so often backstage before shows.
"Yeah...why?" she asked tilting her head.
"Where is he?" I asked starting to get nervous, my right hand running through my curls as my left hand rested on my hip, my mind telling me to get dressed and go out to the kitchen, by my body having a completely relaxed and composed response.
"Getting beer he said. I'm going to go I don't want be involved" she said, holding her hand out to the side as she walked back out towards the party closing the door behind her.
I paced back and forth in the bedroom, still not entirely sure as to why I was not going out there. I don't know if a part of me thought that Chris wasn't going to pull his shit and Sophie was going to be right back so we could pick right up where we left off, Just Go With It being her next movie choice and even though I'd hate to admit it to her I actually kind of liked it.
We had an amazing day together so far and I feel like we covered and talked about a lot of things that were threatening to keep driving a wedge between us. I felt like I finally had my wife back, and I felt like I finally had myself back. We were being playful and flirty while we watched movies, not being able to keep or hands off of each other. It was like our wedding night and Italy all over again. The last thing that needed to happen was for her to be persuaded that something was going on that wasn't.
After listening to my mind scream for what felt like hours, I quickly pulled on a pair of black joggers and grabbed my Prescott jersey that was precariously hanging over the back of my gaming chair as I started to quickly make my way out towards the kitchen, my hands running through my unruly locks as soon as I stepped inside.
The metal bucket that Sophie had brought out with her to grab my beer lay knocked over on the floor, the ice melting in a heap before trickling out to several individual pieces melting in their isolated places on the floor. Several of the beer cans lay in the sink oozing out the precious amber liquid that I loved so much while some of them that didn't manage to bust open sat on the counter. The white towel that used to hang over the handle of the stove was thrown in a heap on the island and reeked of stale booze, my assumption being that she used it to wipe up the beer that was oozing out of the busted cans. But where was she?
My eyes flashed over to the guest house as I tried to push the thought out of my mind that she would go over there. We had just talked about the party and she even told me herself that she knew if she had one drop of alcohol that would be it for her. I didn't know her partying side very well, but from what I saw the day I went to pick her up at her house, when she drinks she goes big and it doesn't take her long to get to where she needs to be.
