Sophie's POV

I smiled up at him as he pulled away from my lips slowly, his finger tips of his right hand gracefully running through my smooth light brown locks, his left hand resting delicately on my hips as our eyes danced together slowly. Everything that he was doing was the sweetest thing, but a huge part of me couldn't help but wonder if he was doing it just because of how he screwed up last night when he blew me off for sushi and a movie, or if he really wanted to do something nice for me just because. Closing my eyes briefly I took a deep breath as I quickly pushed the thought out of my head, shoving it in a filing cabinet for safe keeping, not forgetting about it but keeping it safe to ponder about later.

Instead of trying to ruin this night he so thoughtfully took the time to plan out for me, I figured I could take Lauren's advice and use the time that I had with him to really get to know him. To make up for the things we didn't do with each other in Italy, make this about us and not about trying to show each other how much we loved each other.

"Baby, that sounds perfect" I finally said after what felt like a years worth of hesitation. He smiled down at me, my finger tip gently running down the exposed skin of his chest as I fluttered my lashes up towards him. "By the way, you look so sexy" I said, letting out a shy laugh as my five senses were on overdrive for him.

My eyes were drinking in the amazingly sexy man standing in front of me with a fervent desperation. My fingertip feeling as if it was on fire as it ran down his warm chest, the feeling sending tingles through every part of my body. My head being filled with the intoxicating scent of his cologne as I breathed in the delectable scent deeply. My knees becoming weak as the sound of his low raspy voice sent chills over every part of my flushed body, and my lips craving to taste more of his as they ravished mine in long, deep, passionate movements.

"Really? You think so?" he asked, scrunching up his nose as he smiled widely his head shaking back and forth slowly as his large tattooed hands slipped easily into my back pockets, using them to pull me that much closer to him. I smiled up at him, my lips pressing against the tip of his chin as I let out a small laugh.

"I don't think so, I know" I said, his gaze looking down at me adorningly as his lips pressed softly against my forehead making my eyes flutter closed at the sweet gesture. A quick thought ran through my head as I realized that was something he should know. I started to feel myself get anxious as I looked up at him.

"Mmmm my favorite" I said with a smile. He ran his fingers down my jaw line as a crooked smile appeared on his face.

"Good to know baby. Let's hope I'm two for two with dinner" he said, pulling his hand out of my back pocket, as he slowly brought it around and laced his fingers with mine as he walked with me further into my kitchen as I saw several pots covered and simmering on the stove, the flame just low enough to keep the food warm without over cooking it.

"Whatcha making?" I asked, my left hand coming up to rest on his left bicep as I pressed my lips softly against the white fabric covering it before laying my head against it gently. He slowly lifted the lid to reveal my favorite, pan seared salmon in butter with broccoli and homemade mashed potatoes. I felt my eyes get wide as I tried to maintain the drool inside of my mouth as it started watering profusely at the sight and scent of the dinner he was cooking for me. "Baby this looks so good" I said looking up at him, a shy smile on his face.

"I just hope it tastes as good as it looks" he laughed, rubbing his right hand awkwardly over the back of his neck as he stared down at the three pans on my my stainless steel stove, the steam drifting out of each one of them dancing up towards his face as it broke away into two clouds floating up on either side of his head.
