"Evangeline Juliette Goldie Love, as your best friend, I demand you tell me all the details!"

"My middle name isn't Goldie."

"Whatever, just start talking."

Evangeline shook her head at her friends pestering and sunk back into her pillows.

It was the next day, the sun already set despite it only being 5pm, and Evangeline was sat with Tonks in her bedroom. She had been dancing around the topic of her moment with Remus the day prior, but Tonks was dead-set on hearing what happened.

Focusing her eyes anywhere but her friend, she said, "what details? We kissed-"

"Made out," Tonks interrupted with a grin.

"Okay, fine. We made out. What more do I need to say?"

"For starters," Tonks, who had been drumming her wand on her knee for the past half hour, lent forward, brows raised in intrigue, "was it good?"

A blush bloomed across Evangeline's cheeks and she suddenly found a loose thread on the bedsheets the most interesting thing in the room. "Um, yes- yes, it was good," she paused, biting her lower lip nervously, "more than good."

"Ooo, more than good!" Tonks exclaimed, "better than Brandon Nick's?"

"Huh? Brandon Nicks?"

"Yeah. When you two made out, you said it was the best kiss of your life and since then, you haven't said otherwise," Tonks shrugged.

"Tonks, I was in fourth year!" Evangeline chuckled, in disbelief at her, "have you been thinking that Bill is worse than Brandon?"

"No..." Tonks bit back her grin, drawing out the 'o' sound.

"Oh my god."

"What? You never told me different, so its not my fault," she huffed, crossing her arms over her chest childishly.

"Well, its common sense to assume that Brandon Nicks from fourth year is not my best kiss ever," Evangeline laughed.

"It's not like you've had many kisses since Brandon," Tonks retorted with a playful smirk.

"First, let's stop talking about Brandon," the pair nodded at each other in agreement, "and second, at least I'm not Miss. In Love With My Best Friends Older Brother."

There was a long, long pause before Tonks sighed.

"Touché."

Remus fiddled with a loose button on his coat as he paced in front of Evangeline's bedroom door.

He knew they needed to talk- he wanted to talk- but he was so bloody nervous he couldn't bring himself to lift his hand and knock.

Ever since he had left the kitchen late last night and gone to bed, he couldn't get her out of his head. Granted, he did usually have her in his mind, but it was different now. Now, it wasn't just the thought of her, it was the feeling of her.

The moment he had closed the door to his bedroom last night, everything flooded forward. The feeling of her fingers in his hair, his hands gripping her waist, the euphoric rush he got when the space finally closed and their lips met.
