"Are you sure you're okay enough to go to school today?" Lena asked me. I was sleeping on her shoulder in the car on the way to school, groaning in pain. The cramps were full on kicking in, not having any mercy on me. So fricking mean.
"Yes Len, for the hundredth time I'm okay," I groaned out, instantly feeling bad for being harsh. She was only trying to be nice and here I was, acting like a bitch. "Thanks for the concern though," I added, giving her a small smile which she returned.
"Are we done talking about periods?" Luke asked in a bored tone, playing with the dust in the air with his tongue. I'm related to that, I reminded myself. "We've been going on about this since yesterday. Oh my god! I have blood coming out of my vagina! So interesting!"
"You like that guy," I told Lena, raising my hands up. She muttered something about the Anderson siblings being crazy under her breath, rolling her eyes at my idiotic brother. A tint of pink appeared at her face. She has it real bad.
"And you like my brother," she countered, smirking. Taking a peek at the mirror, I saw Sam glare at her. Noticing me looking, he stuck his tongue out. Flipping him the bird, I turned around to his sister.
"Lena," I started, grasping her attention. "We've been over this a million times. Those 'Lammy' ship name posters won't work, today, tomorrow, or ever. Give up already or I'm sending photoshopped pictures of you and Luke kissing to Nena. You don't want to deal with her questioning, do you?" I've heard stories about her tying people up to get information out of them, the girl's a lovable psychopath. Respect.
"Wait Lammy?" Sam interrupted, crinkling his nose. "There should be an Idiot & Princess poster instead, it would make more sense." Our nicknames for eachother, how original. The word original reminds me of the spin-off show on Netflix. Guess what's next on my watch list?
"So you admit that you're the idiot who challenges my prince charming, Chace Crawford, but almost dies and gets saved by me, the badass princess who kicks the queen out of her throne and takes her place?" I ask, raising an eyebrow. We made up a whole twisted fairy tale last night, every child's favorite nightmare. It's good to know I'm not the only one with a twisted mind.
"No, I'm pretty sure we agreed that I'm the so-called badass idiot who saves you from the evil prince and queen so we can take the thrones," he countered. So he admits that he's an idiot, finally!
"Well either way we're taking over the world and making our stupid friends our peasants. Lena's making us food, Luke's bringing us takeout, absolutely no vegetables, Chase is cleaning the bathrooms, Nena does my hair, and Liam will give us rides all across the palace," I decided, crossing off my imaginary checklist. Now I'm going to have dreams about this.
"What about Marcie?" Sam asked, furring his eyebrows. "What does she do for us?"
"Marcie helps me rule. Since you're the idiot who acts like an idiot all the time, I need a sidekick," I explained, laughing at fake annoyed face.
"Why can't I have a sidekick?" he pouted, frowning through the mirror.
"Because I said so," I declared, holding my chin up high. He suddenly pressed the brakes, making my body fly forward between the two seats. I groaned loudly, rubbing my ribcage
"We're here!" he yelled in my ear. Slapping his shoulder, I stepped out of the car, taking in the cold, fresh air. Connecticut was sure a lot colder than Texas. I just hope that I can wear shorts by summer.
"Hey Sandwich!" Marcie yelled, running over to us with her usual soccer ball. Something seemed a little different about her. Ohh.
"Oh my god, you dyed your hair!" I shrieked, jumping up and down like a madwoman. Her hair was now a honey blonde and a little past her shoulders, making her seem younger than she was before.
