"Are you sure you're okay with us leaving for three days?" I asked Bethany for the fiftieth time. I really wasn't comfortable with leaving a fourteen year old girl alone in the house. Well, she wouldn't exactly be alone, she would be with Nana and Drew but that's not my point.
"Relax sis, I'll be fine," she waved off. "Did you pack the dresses I gave you?"
"You packed it for me," I reminded her. "Are you sure you're okay? I can always sneak you in the hotel."
"As much as I love you guys, there is no way that I'm going to be spending my day with a bunch of old people," she snorted.
"Hey, we're only a year or two older," I complained.
"Exactly," she said like I was stupid. "You guys are old. You're going to Harvard in less than a year."
"And I'll be calling everyday and visiting every weekend so don't you dare think that you can get away with doing something stupid," I warned. "Besides, Luke's going to be very close."
"I'll never have freedom, will I?" she dramatically sighed.
"Never baby sis," I cheekily grinned, somehow managing to give her a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Be good, don't do drugs, don't drink, don't smoke, don't skip school, don't meet with your boyfriend, and call me every hour or else I'm doing it."
"Quit worrying and get out already," she grumbled, practically pushing me out the front door. Everyone else who was going was in the car and the luggage was in the back.
"I love you!" I called after her, opening the car door. Sam got out and put my luggage in the back for me, closing the trunk. He's such a sweetheart.
"I love you too, now get lost!" she yelled, slamming the door shut. I should have put cameras in the house.
"Where am I sitting?" I asked my friends, looking around this rented van. There was a driver up front and James was sitting next to him, quietly chatting. Nena was sitting on Chase and Marcie and Liam were next to them. The only spot left was the seat in the back between my brother and Sam.
"Next to me," Luke said, opening the door a little more back and the both of them helped me sit inside. I really liked the next cast the doctor put on me last night, it didn't cover my knee and it was black like my soul.
They both had their legs spread so I was a little cramped inside, but I smiled when I saw the iPad that was attached to the back seat. Too bad I wasn't in the mood for a movie.
"Luke," I whispered, poking my brother. He slowly turned his head and took out the earbuds from his ear.
"What?" he grumpily asked, rubbing his eyes. I couldn't exactly blame him, it was six in the morning and he got up twenty minutes before school started.
"How long is it going to take?" I asked, shaking my non-broken leg in anticipation. There was so much to see. Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, shopping malls, New York pizza. Oh my god, I love New York City pizza.
"I don't know," he grumbled, shoving his earbuds in again. What a spoil sport.
"We have to take attendance at the school before we drive anywhere," James informed us from the front seat. "Don't worry, you guys are staying in the car."
"Thank god," Marcie mumbled, leaning against Liam's shoulder. It seemed like she was sleepy too.
"Sam," I whispered, poking his arm. He lazily smiled and yawned, wrapping an arm around me and kissing my forehead.
"We still have another two hours, princess," he muttered in my ear. "The stupid attendance thing is going to take a while and we're going to stop for the bathroom and food."
