"Stop looking at your stupid cast and keep walking," Luke groaned, pushing me for the tenth time so that I would keep moving. It's not my fault they had a rainbow wrap.

"But it's so pretty!" I exclaimed, licking my popsicle. Yeah, there was an ice cream truck in the middle of winter. Actually, it's spring now but that never stops the snow.

"It's uglier than your face," he grumbled, searching his pockets for the house key. Ouch.

"No you," I retorted, sticking my tongue out at him. He finally found the key and opened the door and I saw a bunch of shoes scattered on the ground. I told you, my friends spent more time in the house than I do.

I went straight up to the stairs and to my closet, picking out a t-shirt and sleeping shorts and underwear and I went to the bathroom to take a hot shower. Ah, that's so refreshing.

Quickly drying my hair, I pulled on my clothes and took off the cast protector, hopping down the stairs. In front of me was Bethany and Ace and many of my friends around them, shooting questions at them. What the fuck what going on?

I hobbled to the couch and sat down next to Sam who immediately wrapped his arms around me, kissing my forehead. "Please don't scream," he begged.

"For what?" I asked, looking at the two kids again. They were seated on the opposite couch, awfully close together and Ace readjusted his glasses, widening his eyes when he noticed me. He also scootched away from my sister by a couple feet.

"What's going on?" I asked everyone. They pretty much had large grins on their faces and didn't answer me.

"Tell her," Trent urged Ace, ruffling his hair. Ace smacked his hand away and took a deep breath. I still didn't forget the fact that he sent my little sister home at midnight.

"Um," he stuttered, sweating a little. "How do I say this?"

Bethany rolled her eyes and took his hand in hers, waving it in the air. The fu- "Me and Ace are dating, suck it up." I didn't even care about how she worded the sentence and I narrowed my eyes at them.

"Since when?" I asked, ready to pounce on him but Sam held me back and rubbed circles on my back. That wasn't supposed to calm me down in a situation like this but it did. Damn him.

"Since this morning," she shrugged. "I was going to tell you but you skipped school."

"You're too young to date," I pointed out. That's hypocritical of me but I wouldn't mind keeping her a nun until she was thirty at the least.

"You went out with a guy when you were thirteen," Luke scoffed, inspecting his nails. He was supposed to be on my side here.

"You two, come with me," I ordered, hobbling into the kitchen. They followed me and took a seat to the opposite of me and Sam came in a second later, standing right next to me.

"What are you doing here?" I asked in confusion. I don't recall asking him to follow me here.

"I'd rather not look for a new goalie," he shrugged, propping his elbows on the counter. "Pretend I'm not here."

"Whatever," I waved off. "We need to set a couple things straight."

"Like what?" Beth asked, raising an eyebrow. "I'm not breaking up with him."

"I'm not going to make you break up with him," I reassured. As much as I didn't like my sister dating, he was better than most of the guys out there.

"Phew," Ace sighed in relief, running his hands through his longish hair. I needed to say something about that too.

"You two can't be in the same room with your door closed," I stated, folding my hands. Of course I was going to have some fun with this.

"But you and Sam do it all the time," Beth whined. "I don't say anything about that."
