"Remember to take your ibuprofen and painkiller," Luke reminded me for the tenth time this morning. "And don't you dare-"

"Shush," I shushed him, closing his hand with my mouth. "I promise I won't go up the stairs unless if I absolutely have to, or down the stairs, I won't walk without my crutches, I'll drink my milk, and I'll do my homework."

"You forgot one thing," he reminded me, crossing his arms. I scrunched up my eyebrows, trying to remember his lectures from this morning. He sighed in exasperation and rolled his eyes. "You have to nap from eleven a.m. to three p.m. and keep your foot elevated."

"Why?" I groaned, covering my face with my hand. "I'm not going to be sleepy."

"Too bad," he shrugged. "I'm calling Sam at lunch and before soccer practice so you can't get out of doing anything. And he won't lie for you either, I made sure."

"What did you do, threaten to tell everyone his deepest and darkest secret?" I snorted, running my fingers down my hair. Yuck, I need to shower.

"Yeah," he shrugged with a small evil smirk. "Now goodbye, you're going to make me late for school." He engulfed me in a large hug and kissed my forehead. "I love you, be safe."

"I love you two," I smiled, wrapping my arms around him. "You know that you're my favorite brother, right?"

"You only have one brother," he scoffed, ruffling my hair. "Let go, I have class in a little bit."

"But I'm comfortable and tired," I whined, slowly letting go.

"And you smell so go shower," he mocked in the same voice that I used. "Wait, how are you going to take a shower?"

"I'll put on that plastic thingy you gave me and sit on a stool or something," I shrugged. "What am I supposed to do?"

"Ask Sam's grandmother to get you a stool," he instructed. "You and Sam can't shower together."

"Luke!" I hissed, smacking his head. "Nana isn't home and I can manage, don't worry."

"Fine," he grumbled. "Call me if you need anything, I don't care if I'm in class, just call me. Now let me go, I need to go to class."

"Go to school then," I ushered, kissing his cheek. "Stay out of trouble!"

"Never!" he yelled back. "Bethany! Get your ass down here!"

"Coming!" she yelled, dragging herself downstairs with a pretty sweater and black leggings and a shit load of jewelry.

"Take care and call me if you need anything," she ordered, kissing my cheek. Great, I'm pretty sure I have pink lipstick on my cheek now.

"Bethany!"

"Of course," I said, giving her a tight hug. I blame the painkillers for making me so touchy. "Now get out, Luke's going to kill you."

"I'm coming!" she screamed at him, hugging me again. Her sweater was so warm. "Yuck, go take a shower,"

"I will," I promised as she ran out the door in her slightly heeled boots.

"Is that lipstick on your cheek?" a voice asked. I turned around to see and amused Sam. He took a napkin and spilled a little water on it, dabbing my cheek to get it off.

"Blame Bethany," I shrugged, sounding a little breathless with our close proximity. His face was a little too close to mine, not that I minded. "Do you have a spare stool?"

"For showering?" I nodded. "Yeah, I'll go put one in the shower. I can always help you and save water you know."

"No way," I laughed, pushing his arm with a blush. "Is there a spare bathroom?"
