He simply stared at me for a good one minute. Shit Lauren, what the hell were you thinking? Great, now I ruined whatever was going on between us. I should just stay single and live with eighty cats for the rest of my life. Yeah, that sounds like a good idea.
"So my aunt might be waiting for us," I awkwardly said, breaking the silence when he didn't say anything. Wow girl, can't you think of something better? "We should really get going." He still had a shocked look on his face and looked paralyzed.
I hung my head low and cringed, using my crutches and walking down the sidewalk before I almost ran into someone. "Sorry," I mumbled, not looking at them in the face and trying to get past them but a hand firmly gripped my arm. I looked up and saw someone I thought I'd never see again.
"Well lookie here," Josh sneered, looking at me from my head to my toe. Ugh, my life should be filmed as a reality show. "Did my dear Katherine teach you a lesson?"
"Piss off," I muttered, pushing his leg with my crutch and walking away. He stumbled a bit which made me smile but he quickly recovered and stood in front of me again. Oh go to Hades, will ya?
"You're such a bitch," he snarled, like I haven't heard that before. He didn't hit me or anything so I raised an eyebrow, obviously bored. I'd rather be sleeping, which is the most boring thing to do ever, said my eyebags.
"What?" I grunted, giving him my fuck off face. I had it on a lot, especially around people like him.
"You're moving back here?" he asked with a smirk. "You should see what my parents have planned out for you. Messing with the Parker's isn't a good idea." Aww, mommy and daddy could piss off.
"Neither is messing with me and I almost got you arrested so shoo," I said, giving him a fake smile. I was going to walk past him but he stood in front of me again with narrowed eyes. Oh, for the love of Pete and his family.
"Watch who you're talking to," he warned. I scoffed, what is he, the king?
"I would but I don't really like your face," I retorted with a sweet smile, mentally congratulating myself for the comeback. "Now shoo."
"I'm not a dog!" he exclaimed. Of course you're not, dogs are cute and you're not. I can't believe I liked him.
"I see that," I blankly said, trying to move again.
"I'm not done with you," he growled, gripping my arm tightly. I tried to pry it off but his grip was surprisingly tight. About time he hit the gym.
"Hey!" Sam yelled, running towards us with wide eyes. His eyes narrowed at Josh who slightly let go of my hand. I could see the fear in his eyes but he held his guard up, looking like he won't back down. I give him three seconds before he gives up.
"So you're together now," he muttered, looking between the both of us. "I wasn't aware that I dated a gold digger."
"Excuse me?" I seethed. I was about to push him away with my crutches but Sam reacted quicker, punching him so hard that he fell to the ground. Oh no.
"What the fuck?" Josh spat out, patting his cheek and glaring at the both of us. "I have a conference tomorrow." Well he needs to be alive tomorrow so he better start running away.
"Let's go," I said to Sam, nudging him but he looked like he wasn't done. The murderous look in his eye said it all.
He punched his other cheek this time and gave him a murderous look ten times scarier than the one before. "I think you've been let off a little too easy," he darkly chuckled, kicking his shin. I knew exactly what he was talking about but this was not the right time.
