"Silver is Ag, princess, not S," he laughed at my frustration. But wasn't O the symbol for oxygen? Gah, this is why I despise science.
"I give up," I declared, dropping the book down to add to my dramaticness. It landed on my foot and I sweared out loud in agony.
"Someone's having a bad day," he mused, setting his notes aside to rub circles on my bright pink foot.
"Ya think?" I sarcastically asked, taking his notes to go over them again. It's simple Lauren, Ag is silver, O is oxygen, H is hydrogen, and the rest is who the hell cares.
"Princess, we can't have you failing can we?" he teased, opening my grades up on my phone. I looked at my chemistry grade, B plus. A fucking 89.48. You have got to be kidding me.
I took my phone away from his hands and switched it off before I could get distracted even more. "Can we have a break?" I begged, jutting my bottom lip out and slightly widening my eyes. Screw studying, I don't know why I thought it was a good idea.
He took a moment to stare at my face and then mentally smacked himself to look away. "Fine, show me pictures of fetus Lauren and Luke, and anyone else whom you want to add."
Unlocking my phone, I opened up the photos app to show him pictures from years ago. "Pick a year," I said.
Thinking hard, he made a decision. "2014," he decided. Safe choice buddy.
Going through my albums, I opened up the one from sixth grade. "Pick a month," I let him choose.
"October," he chose.
Going through the last of October, I opened up the Halloween section. It's a wonder how I had so much storage back then. Oh, yeah, Hayley took most of the pictures.
Giving him my phone, I let him go through that album. He opened up one from us going trick or treating. This is why you should always delete everything from your phone before you let a hot guy go through them.
"Aww, baby Lauren, looks so adorable" he cooed, laughing at my embarrassment. We were all dressed up as characters from SpongeBob and I was dressed up as Patrick. Even though it was a cold day, I slipped on a long sleeved pink bodysuit with purple and yellow shorts. I looked far from adorable.
"Shut up," I mumbled, hiding my face from his view. He laughed and pushed my hands off my bright pink pace.
"Who are these other kids?" he asked, pointing towards everyone on the screen. I thought Luke told him this.
"My old group of friends," I vaguely answered, staring at the people who took less than a day to tarnish years of friendship. They looked happy to be with us and no one would have expected them to betray us like that.
"How come they never call?" he confusedly asked, looking through more pictures of that night. Luke and I looked genuinely happy, something we haven't been in years until now and that's only because of Sam and his friends. Our friends.
"We're not friends anymore," I sadly replied giving him a grim smile. He paused for a minute, understanding what I was talking about. He threw an arm around my shoulder to pull me closer to him for comfort. I leaned my head on his shoulder and looked through the photos with him. Using his free hand, he ran his fingers down my tangled hair in a comforting way.
"Your brother said you have your boyfriend who helped you guys," he casually mentioned. I could tell he was trying to hold in an eye roll at that word.
"He's the ex. Yeah, he helped for around a year before we broke up. I know you want to know," I said, biting my bottom lip.
His eyes followed my lip movement and he forcefully looked away. I unconsciously touched my lips to see if anything was there. "Tell me as much as you want princess, you don't have to if you don't want to," he quickly rushed out.
