"Details, now," Nena demanded, ushering me into the bathroom. So we are doing this now? Flashbacks of eighth grade popped up in my head again where Hayley and Becca convinced me to skip class to hang out in the bathroom. I still don't understand the whole point of this. Okay that's a lie, I do. "Hello? Lauren! Stop daydreaming and tell me."

"Sorry what?" I blinked, snapping back into reality. "Wait, where's Marcie?"

"She has to do something in the library so she's spending her lunch period there." Oh right, lunch. My stomach grumbled at the absence of food.

"And Lena?" I warily asked, shutting my eyes tightly. I already knew the answer but wished it wasn't true.

Nena winced, sadly sighing. "She and Katherine Pierce are sitting with the cheerleaders, gossiping about stupid fuckboys and complaining about us."

I winced this time. "We have to think of something," I muttered. "How about Sam and Blake's birthday? She still seems to like you and the rest of the gang though. It's just Marcie and I."

"Stop changing the subject missy," she scolded. "You avoided it yesterday and you're not avoiding it today. How was the date?"

"Like any other normal date," I said, purposefully not giving the details. "I'll tell you after school, I promise." I crossed my fingers behind my back and led Nena out of the bathroom so we could finally eat lunch. We had a team bonding session in Trent's house. Shh, don't tell Nena.

Like yesterday, this table seemed oddly empty with the missing face. With Marcie busy and Luke nowhere to be found, it felt oddly lonely even with a group of people. I wish Lena never changed, I thought. No one else wanted her to either.

"That's it," Chase said, grabbing his tray. The table where Lena and Katherine sat at stopped staring at us the second we caught them. "We're eating outside. I can't stand this any longer." Without arguing, we followed him outside and sat near a couple of trees, far enough for them to not watch us.

"This feels weird," Sam groaned, hitting his head against the tree. "How did everything get messed up in a couple of days? My sister's changed for the worst, Lauren has a new, annoying twin, my mom wants me to get married to that twin, Blake moved here-"

"Hold up," I interrupted. "Blake has nothing to do with this. Lena changed after Katherine came. Don't blame him for anything."

"What do you mean I can't blame him?!" he yelled. I slightly moved back, surprised with his sudden outburst. "Don't you see it? She's only been nice to that Katerina girl, my mom, and Blake. It's all his fault."

"It's not his fault she's still herself with him," I argued. "You know, that's a good thing. It means that she still has a chance of being herself again."

"She's only going to be herself when she gets what she wants and that isn't going to happen this time because he only likes you," he groaned. "This is a repeat of seventh grade all over again."

"What happened in seventh grade?" I warily asked, not liking where this was going.

He rubbed a hand over his face and looked at me. I took in note of how his eyebags matched mine and how he didn't shave so a five o'clock shadow formed on his handsome face, making it look more defined. "She used to have this friend, I honestly forgot her name. She was dating this guy named Peter at the time and Lena eventually developed feelings for him."

I stopped staring at Sam to look at everyone else. None of them knew this but wanted Sam to continue. I didn't want to know but didn't say anything.

"She started to distance herself from her friend, then be mean to her, then she kissed that Peter guy and broke them both up. She and Peter dated for a while before she got bored and broke it off with him. She still acts like she didn't do anything wrong."
