Kun bolted upright, the pain shooting through his leg, but he didn't care. He grabbed Ten, wrapping his arms around the Thai. "T-Ten... I thought- I thought you died... I thought I lost you- I thought- I thought Yuta killed you-"

"Uh- Kun- let go-" The older siren tightened his grip around Ten, his hand snaking to the tattoo on Ten's back, and gills appeared on Ten's neck, his skin turning shimmery, and some parts of his body beautifully covered in blue patterns. "See? Your body remembers me, so why the hell do you pretend you don't? Ten, what the hell happened!"

"I- um- I backed out.." Kun's eyes widened, and he stared at the younger. "You- backed out. We were supposed to get married one month after you died, you left me, you left the entire family and we thought you were DEAD! YOU- left all of us behind, and you left me broken. And you're saying you backed out. COULD A NOTE NOT SUFFICE? COULD A BLOODY FUCKING MESSAGE NOT BE SENT TO US? TO ME? YOUR FUCKING GODDAMN FIANCE?"

Johnny was rummaging around in the first aid station to find a wheelchair, and he suddenly remembered that he left his phone next to the hurt guy on the beach.

Ten stumbled back, his siren side fading back into his human form. "Sto-Stop overreacting, hyung." Kun's eyes widened at Ten's words, those three words stinging him more than even when he discovered Ten's death.

"Hy-hyung? You're calling me hyung? Are we strangers now, Ten?" The Thai didn't reply, and just walked away, towards Johnny. Walked away... away from Kun.

Kun was about to run after him, when a phone on the ground buzzed, and he picked it up. There was no password on the phone, and he unlocked it, staring at the picture. In all those years Ten was dead, he memorized everything about Yuta. Including his phone number. Kun quickly sent the picture to Yuta, not regretting anything at all.

He then deleted it from Johnny's phone, putting the phone back in the sand, and hobbled towards the first aid station.

"Johnny we need to go now-" Kun heard Ten's voice, desperate as he talked to the human. "Baby, what's wrong? We still have to help that guy on the beach-" "NO! We have to go NOW!" Johnny stared at his boyfriend, surprised at Ten's outburst. "Al-alright, calm down, what's wrong?"

Kun limped into the station, glaring at Ten. "Everything is wrong." He spat. "Everything that happened in the past 4 years was utterly and completely wrong." Kun grabbed Ten's hand, closing his eyes and turning back into his siren form, his change triggering Ten's as well, the Thai turning back, the marks reappearing on his skin.

Kun grabbed his hand, linking their hands together, and Johnny realized that the half carved blue marks on Ten's arm matched the ones on Kun's arm, and when Kun pulled their hands together, the half carved marks formed a full symbol, an anchor wrapped in seaweed.

"So are you going to tell me what the hell happened 4 years ago, or are you still going to run from me like a coward."

"I- um- I just-" Kun glared at him, and Ten shuddered, muttering the whole story. "Yuta didn't kill me.. He killed the siren who killed Taeil and was attacking me, saving me and then brought me to the village- I met Johnny and he was- perfect and- I asked Yuta about whether I could never go back in the sea, and he said he could fake my death and-"

"Yuta? Yuta fucking helped you fake your death?" Kun didn't feel any remorse about how he just sent that photo of Taeyong and Jaehyun kissing to Yuta now, he wanted that bloody fucking fisherman to know what it felt like to lose everyone.

"So you did, you faked your death, leaving your entire family, and your mate who you were going to marry one damn month later and pretended to be something you're not."

Johnny stared at Ten, then at Kun. "You two are- mates?"

"YES!"

"NO!"

Kun stared at Ten, the surprise and hurt clear in his eyes. "No? NO?" He pulled Ten's shirt back, revealing the mark on his shoulder blade. "Who left this on you, if we're not mates? And when were you going to tell your boyfriend that you are my fucking fiance?"

Johnny stared at Ten, his eyes wide as he realized. Ten always pushed him off, telling him that the mark on his shoulder blades was a birthmark. Only now did he realize it was a permanent hickey, a mate bond. "What am I going to tell Sicheng? What am I going to tell our parents? And what the hell am I supposed to tell myself, tell our daughter!?" Both Ten's and Johnny's jaws dropped at hearing that.

"You two- you two have a daughter?" Kun glared at Ten and Johnny one last time, stepping away from them. "We have a daughter?" Ten asked, staring at Kun. "I wonder who the hell left me pregnant when he 'died'. Also. We, don't have a daughter. I have a daughter. You have no fucking right to be called her father."

And with that, Kun stormed off, diving back into the ocean, feeling his heart break into a million thousand pieces. Johnny stared at Ten for a while, then jogged back to the beach, grabbing his phone, waiting for Ten to start explaining.
