yuta x sicheng"Sicheng, wake up. Dinner time," The chinese felt someone shake him awake, fluttering his eyes open to see a nurse setting up food on the table beside him.
He stretched his limbs, sitting up after, and yawned. He scanned the room, seeing that the other patients were also waking up from their sleep to eat their dinner. Sicheng didn't even notice the nurse leaving just by scanning the whole room.
He sighed and took the earphones from the table, plugging them on his phone and to his ears as he shuffle played his playlist. He soon slid down the bed, with the phone in his hand, sitting down on the chair, and started eating. You might be wondering why he preferred sitting down and eating on the table rather than being on his bed - it's because he was used to it and he finds it uncomfortable to eat on the bed.
"..But it's taking forever," Sicheng sang under his breath as he took a bite, looking around to see if anyone heard it - to which he sighed in relief that no one did and was just minding their own business.
"I tried to go out, but every time I leave the house," Sicheng continued, munching on the sushi on his left cheek.
"Something reminds me.."
Sicheng jumped on his seat, unconsciously removing one of the earbuds from his ear as Yuta placed a tray of food on the table, taking the chair by Ten's table and sitting comfortably beside Sicheng.
The chinese blinked as the japanese took a big bite of his food, with Sicheng still staring at him in shock. Noticing the chinese's gaze on him, Yuta spared him a look, "What?"
The younger immediately shook his head, turning back to look at his food as he heard Yuta continue what he was singing.
"Of what's left behind me."
"Every day I'll let go just a little bit more.." The chinese sung softly, continuing the song for the older despite this part passing by moments ago.
Sicheng popped in his mouth another sushi, too immersed in the song to even realize the japanese taking the fallen earbud and placing it on his own. Yuta's lips curved up a little after hearing Lany's soothing voice whilst consuming his food.
With the two sharing silence for a bit, the older was the first one to break it. "Since when did you start liking Lany?"
Sicheng was taken aback at the sudden words, almost choking on the food he is eating as he glanced at Yuta. "S-Since I was diagnosed.."
The japanese shrugged, dropping the chopsticks rather harshly on the tray which honestly scared Sicheng. Don't get Yuta wrong, he wasn't angry or anything, it's just that dropping the chopsticks in a harsh manner especially after eating food became his habit ever since he was young. He didn't even know he scared the chinese beside him.
With the song changing to some music Yuta isn't familiar with, "When were you diagnosed?"
"A-Almost a year.." Sicheng answered, feeling intimidated at the aura Yuta is giving.
"You aren't really fond of talking, are you?" Yuta asked once again, taking Sicheng's phone and changing the song to something he's familiar with as the chinese nodded. "What makes you glossophobic?"
Sicheng was astonished - from what he knew, he never told anyone in the ward that he is glossophobic, and from what he noticed, Yuta doesn't give a single shit about any of the patients' illnesses. And how in the world did he know that the chinese is glossophobic?
"Your records at the clipboard, it says it all." The japanese shrugged, taking a sip at the bottle of water. Was Sicheng easy to read? Yes, according to Yuta.
Sicheng blinked a few times, "G-Genes.."
The older was rather shocked, he expected it to be severe that's why he was admitted here - he did not suspect a single bit that it was from a genetic diagnosis. "Like as in passed to you?"
Sucheng nodded for the nth time today, "B-Both my parents are anti-social misfits, n-not liking the idea of speaking in front of people. A-And it passed to me, but s-severely."
"Your sister?"
By now, Sicheng shouldn't be surprised at Yuta knowing about his sister because she visits here quite often - but still, he was shaken. "S-She got a l-little but not as severe as mine.."
The japanese shrugged, "Explains why."
With the two sharing silence for a bit, with the chinese finding the atmosphere awkward as he was still eating, he swallowed a spoonful of food and drank water, wiping his mouth with a tissue as he turned to look at Yuta.
"W-What about you?"
"Me?" The japanese chuckled with a hint of sadness and anger, "Let's just say it got worse since I was a kid."
The thought of it made Yuta fume in anger, remembering how his parents didn't even care to check him up to a psychologist - or even a doctor. He remembered being irritated over small things, like not getting the toy he wanted, or his older sister not finding time to play with him.
Sicheng didn't reply and just looked down, munching on the last piece of sushi as the song changed - neither of them remembering that they were sharing the chinese's earphones.

"I fucking told you, do everything you can to destroy his hospital."
"B-But sir-"
"I don't care how you do it, just make sure to destroy his image, his reputation, his hospital, and himself. This is the last time I'm counting on you, you better prove yourself."
The person bit its lip and took a deep breath, "Yes, sir."
