"Jin hyung?"

"Hello Taebear. Having fun?"

Taehyung walked inside the cabin with his phone in hand as he strutted to the kitchen, opening the fridge and getting beer for himself.

"Yeah, it's fun." He answered, taking a gulp from the can.

"That's great. You know that you're in charge in case anything happened, right? You're the second Alpha in the line, Taehyung."

Taehyung only hummed in agreement. He already had this conversation with his brother before coming in here. Even if he didn't like it, he couldn't deny the obvious.
Normally Namjoon and Jin would accompany them to the cabins since they were quite far and the North didn't have any shortage of the occasional ferocious rogues.
But after they deemed the periphery safe enough, Namjoon decided to let the young ones travel alone this time.
So making him in charge was all just for precaution's sake really and maybe to test his brother's training as well.

"Great! Now that that's said, I can finally tell you to drink moderately, not pick fights with each other and try not to attract too much attention if you ever decide to go to the village."

Taehyung was already rolling his eyes, finishing his drink in one go and going up to his bedroom where he, surprisingly enough, was staying alone.
Apparently, Jimin wanted to socialize with the rest of the group for once since he felt bad for missing out on so much drama, being practically always alongside his best friend and all. Taehyung, to the blonde's surprise, only nodded and went to his bedroom to sleep, leaving Jimin to move his suitcase to Ten's and BamBam's room.

"Can't promise that, Seokjin"

"It's hyung to you, brat."

Taehyung only laughed at his Luna's antics.

You would think that after another night of extremes activities and heavy drinking will knock anyone off for the next couple of days at least. Well not when the said 'anyone' were basically werewolves and had the stamina of ten human beings combined into one.
So the very next day, when the sun was brighter after an entire night of snow falling heavily on the cabins and the mountains surrounding them, the young wolves were up early already making plans for the day ahead.
With the exception of a few, the kitchen was full of joyful conversations and the extraordinary smell of food; having multiple great cooks in your group of friends surely was an advantage.

"That's it, I'll go wake them up." Chaeyoung announced, referring to the couple sleeping in the small cabin near the lake. Even though the main cabin was huge, it didn't fit the dozen werewolves and the couples within who claimed to need their privacy. Some of them were still in the honeymoon phase after all and the rest would rather not be awakened at night by the banging sounds.

"I'll come with you." Sehun who was already on his feet, followed his soon to be mate with a skip in his walk making the others chuckle at his childish behavior.

"I swear to the Goddess those two never stop." Ten who was heating a bowl of rice and had a glass of water in hand, complained to an equally amused BamBam.

"Man, I'm glad we won that match of Rock Paper Scissors and got the biggest room here. Imagine if they won it."

Ten snorted. "I'm pretty sure Sehun would have chased them out the first night. Something about them ruining his little Chae's innocence."

They continued giggling and completely bursted out laughing when the two main characters in question entered the kitchen, covered in love bites and nearly torn clothes.

"Were you fighting rogues?" Haechan flushed a crimson red at Soobin's taken aback expression, the latter clearly not understanding what was going on and struggling hard with the language that wasn't his first.

"Ils ne se bagarraient pas, chéri." (They weren't fighting, darling.) Yeonjun explained quietly to his mate in French as the rest decided to give the duo a break and immerse themselves in the food before it got cold.

Taehyung was sat in one the kitchen stools overlooking the glass wall at his right and quietly seeped his morning coffee, a habit he only picked up after he began his alpha training which was odd considering he never even liked the smell of coffee before.
He was listening to the chatters around him while laughing quietly at the members' silliness and the way they acted more like a family than anything else. He secretly enjoyed it a lot, even if he never purposefully made to spend time with them, he enjoyed seeing them so comfortable around each other and happy together.
The bubbly feeling in his chest slowly died down when he noticed something— rather someone—missing.

"Where's Jimin?" Taehyung asked no one in particular but got a few looks from his friends. It was Yeonjun who gave him an answer, somehow confused.

"He didn't tell you? He went back to the pack."

Taehyung's hand holding the coffee cup stopped midway upon hearing his cousin's retort. What.

"What are you talking about?" He abandoned the coffee and his seat altogether before making his way to get his phone.

Yeonjun was uncertain of his cousin's questioning. Did he really not know that Jimin took off yesterday night after getting a call from the head Alpha? Sure mostly everyone was asleep but he just assumed he would have told his soulmate. It not like it was a secret or something overly dangerous or anything? He was gone to br-

"Where are you?!" The entire room stopped talking upon hearing their young alpha's booming voice. He was clearly speaking with someone over the phone as the other's voice could, albeit barely, heard from the small device.

Suddenly, Taehyung took his phone away from his ear and hung up, chucking it on the nearest surface. That's when they heard the sound of the engine outside.

The rest of the wolves were curious as to what was going on but upon not understanding anything, and seeing as Taehyung's behavior was normally impulsive and incomprehensible anyways, they turned back to their business.

However, Taehyung with Yeonjun and Soobin following behind him ended up standing on the wooden patio as the black Hyundai Palisade was being carefully parked.
Out of it got Park Jimin, clad in an oversized knitwear with black bottoms and boots, avoiding eye contact as he moved to the passenger side to open the door.

Taehyung should've expected this, but he was still flabbergasted upon seeing the boy getting out of the said passenger seat.
