"What the fuck?!"

Jimin winced at his best friend's growl, but paid it no mind as he changed into a more comfortable attire. He wanted to take a long warm shower and rest seeing that he spend most of the night and morning driving.
When he didn't get any answer from him, Taehyung rounded the blonde to face him.

"Jimin!" Ouch. They're back to first names basis now?

"What, Taehyung? What do you want me to tell you?" Jimin had enough of the alpha's scary pheromones making his own wolf very unstable. He looked up at the brunette when he finished changing his clothes, waiting expectantly.

"Why did you bring him here? Why did you go without telling me anything? And at the middle of the night! The fuck was that about?"

"First of all, stop screaming." Jimin rolled his eyes, this wasn't the first time the pair fought. But this time Jimin's wolf was actually whimpering from the alpha's anger and telling him that he wasn't safe.
Taehyung, upon noticing his struggling best friend, closed his eyes and slowed his breathing to help calm his wolf down.

"Better?" Jimin questioned. He hated the fact his soulmate had to control himself everytime around him. One of the downsides of the training since it was never this way before.

Taehyung nodded.

"Good. I got a call from the head Alpha yesterday" he started explaining. "He told me to come to the pack house urgently. I thought it was something important but when I got there I found Jungkook with his suitcase."

Taehyung was already raging. How could his brother call Jimin in the middle of the night only to make him play driver for the ravenette?

"He didn't know either, if you're wondering. He was shocked as hell when he saw me. Apparently, Namjoon only told him to wait at the main house cause someone was gonna drive him to the mountains."

Taehyung breathed out, pinching the bridge of his nose tightly.
"But what took you so long? It's only a couple hours drive anyways. You only arrived a few minutes ago." He pointed.

"It was snowing the entire night, remember?" Jimin sighed. "Bet they didn't plan that one out." He added under his breath.

Taehyung suddenly engulfed him in a tight embrace, making Jimin freeze for a second before reluctantly hugging back.

"Please don't do this to me again." He whispered into the hug. "At least leave a text or something."

Jimin could only nod slowly. He was moved by his friend's words. So moved he promised not to tell him anything. Not how he was commanded by the head Alpha to not tell Taehyung anything about him going there yesterday, not how he sat with the Alpha and Luna while they made him promise to end the relationship with his best friend; making him promise to leave the only person he cared about so much and just move on.

"What if you were in his place, Jimin? How would you feel if you had found your real mate? Would you leave him to stay with Taehyung?"

Oh, if only they knew. Jimin didn't say anything, though. Only listened and listened. Nodded and nodded. When he saw Jungkook afterwards, his heart hurt.
It hurt how Jungkook only offered him his genuine bunny smile, hugging him and asking about his well-being.
Smiled at the boy who stole his mate from him and acted upon his own selfishness.
The more Jimin drove with Jungkook, with them having endless conversations and laughs about this and that, the more the knife twisted in his heart.
Jungkook was just a genuine pure person. He had the potential to be the most arrogant and conceited wolf in their entire specie but he was nothing short of the entire opposite: selfless and caring.
Jimin was almost jealous. He was jealous of the real person Jungkook was. And he was jealous of his family for having someone like him.
A family— Jimin found out— he left and a position of head alpha he abandoned for the sake of his inability to find his fated one.
Jimin was in tears when the Luna and the pack leader told him the story. They didn't want to at first but they were afraid that if they didn't do anything about it, something will go south very quickly.

And so Jimin was being held by the hand that hurt him the most, his profound love for Taehyung and his new found love and respect for Jungkook.

Jimin could easily envision himself in the same situation. He wasn't sure how adamant he would be to stay by his soulmate's side if his fated actually chased him, courted him and and wanted him. Not so much, he guessed.

Either way, Jimin didn't say a word about it to his best friend who was now silently looking at the window.
It was time for him to take matters into his hands.

Jimin cleared his throat, gaining the brunette's attention.

"Ten, BamBam and I are going to the village today." He announced slowly, looking at his nails.

"That's great, Minnie." Taehyung smiled, "you need anything?"

Jimin blushed—despite him— and shook his head.

"I'll get going now." He announced and quickly snuck out of the room, leaving the brunette a bit confused.

"I want muffins. The blueberry ones. Make sure they have filling inside. If they don't I don't want them." Chaeyoung was listing the things she wanted from the village to Sehun who was actually taking notes on his phone. That's how much he wanted to get her everything she wanted and please her.
She was about to hit mating age soon enough and Sehun wanted her to know that even though he was her chosen one, he was capable of treating her like a queen without the influence of the bond. And the young alpha girl was happily taking advantage of it.

"Everyone's ready?" BamBam asked the people who were joining them for the trip to the village.

"Ready for what?" A breathy honeyed voice sounded from the stairs making everyone instantly smile.

"For the village trip, JK!" Jungkook smiled at the familiar nickname coming for his now buddy, Ten. "You're coming?"

Jungkook considered a bit before shaking his head. "I feel like after the rough ride last night, I could really use some more sleep."

Ten nodded and turned to face the wolves getting last minute ready, noticing right away the missing pair.

"You've got to be kidding me!" He stated frustrated. "Where's Mark and Haechan? That was their idea!"
Ten stared at BamBam who immediately shook his head frantically.

"No no no, I'm not going there. What I saw yesterday already scarred me for life. Thank you very much."

Ten sighed in defeat.

"That's it, we're leaving without em. They can take the other car when they finish or whatever."

"If they finish." Added Lucas.

They ended up taking Taehyung's car since the other one didn't have much fuel anymore due to the snowy trip of the night before.
Lucas drived, accompanied by Ten in the passenger seat with Jimin, BamBam, Sehun, Soobin and Yeonjun in the backseats.

Chaeyoung, Yeji and Ryujin on the other hand, decided to have a girls' day at the hot spring which was very close to the cabins. The girls were already making their way to the stream with bags full of clothes and food in them and instead of changing into their wolves forms, they walked.
Sometimes, werewolves liked to embrace their human side.

Jungkook, who offered to walk with the girls and eliciting various squeals and coos from them, was back at the cabin, finally making himself something to eat.

He sighed longly while slurping the steaming hot noodles. After only his second bite, the door to the main house opened followed by endless giggles and smooching sounds.

"Oh? Where's everyone?" Mark questioned, his mate trailing behind him.

"They're gone." Jungkook chuckled at their offended reaction.

"Wait, why are you alone then? Didn't you wanna go with them?"

"I wanted to rest for the first day in." He shrugged.

Mark nodded absentmindedly before smiling goofily.

"That's great! You can keep Taehyung some company while we go join the others."

Jungkook choked on his ramen.
