There was hectic activity inside Bangtan at the moment. The Head Alpha had received intelligence that the situation in the North was going in the Council's favor, and the few small packs that were still loyal to the South's biggest pack were beginning to shift interest.

It was now or never. If they managed to get a hold of Namjoon and Jin and join their forces into an actual plan, they might just save the North from eradication and themselves from an uproar. There was a lot of talk about the danger Bangtan was facing when they decided to ally with the North and attack Song's pack for fugitives who didn't belong to their pack. A lot of meetings Alpha Jeon was dreading the outcome of were currently happening around him. If the entire South allied against them, they might be facing eradication as well.
Whatever the Jeon line represented in the werewolf world, he knew that with the Council meddling in, it wouldn't mean a thing anymore. If the Council offered Bangtan to the South as a pie to share between them, they'd all take that over loyalty.

Yoongi and Lucas had the entire night to prepare for their "trip" into the tunnels. With enough food and water for the days in and out as well as farewells from everyone, they were ready to go. Alpha Jeon was personally overseeing the security measures and making sure no one, even down to their own patrolling wolves, knew what was happening. Luckily, nothing looked amiss. Jiyong was scared that whoever had infiltrated-if anyone had- their pack, that he would alert the outside patrols of it and that they would end up facing an ambush.
It was only once the two wolves sneakily and silently snuck into the entrance of the tunnels in the dead of night, and disappeared completely underground, when they all dared to sigh.

In the meantime, Seojoon was given the task to train the warrior wolves, Bangtan's and Lupus' both, to prepare them for whatever outcome they were going to face. In the midst of it, all alphas, even young ones who were still studying and weren't well trained in combat, were asked to join.
That's how Jungkook and most of his cousins spend their days, and surprisingly as well, Taehyung.
It was the most awkward training Jungkook  had ever experienced. And he wasn't the only one who thought so.

"Are you sure he's an alpha?" Jackson mumbled as they were on the ground doing pushups, and looking towards another group who were doing simulation fights. Taehyung was amongst them. Jungkook didn't want to watch him, but he found himself obligated to do so after his cousins wouldn't stop making comments about him.
Jackson was right in assuming Taehyung wasn't an alpha. Where alphas were mostly known for their bulging muscles and towering presence, even in females, Taehyung was lean and calm. He could be mistaken for a beta or even an omega if it weren't for his scent. But something else that proved his rank was the way he was fighting. Taehyung was mostly going into defense when most of his opponents went for the offense. He was quick and agile, and his lean body helped him immensely in that. Before long, the tall bulky wolf he was sparring was sweating and heaving, while Taehyung was not even breathless. It was almost as if he weren't moving at all.

"That's impressive." Lisa muttered from beside them. Jungkook rolled his eyes.

"He's playing cowardly. That won't get him far in a real-life altercation." He mumbled, looking away from him and concentrating on his push ups.

"I disagree." Hoseok suddenly appeared out of nowhere. "What he's doing is extremely smart. He's tiring his opponent and saving energy for others, he would be able to last very long in battle." Jackson whistled.

"Well in that case, I want him on my team." Jungkook threw him a glare.

"What are you doing?" Jackson shrugged.

"If he's really that good in defensive style, we need him in our team. Most of us only do offense. It would do us good to learn some of the North's techniques as well." He turned to smile at his cousin before getting up from his position and running towards where the northerner in question was standing after his opponent sat down in defeat.

"Don't be like this, Kook. The next training is in wolf form. It'd do you good." Hoseok added and then turned to join Seojoon.

"Great." The true blood muttered, earning a chuckle from his cousin who was still doing pushups like it was nothing to her.

It's been three days since Yoongi and Lucas went to the North. Three days of intense training for the wolves in Bangtan.
Taehyung was bone deep tired and the heat didn't help one bit. They had to train from morning to dawn everyday, and for a few hours in the night so they get used to fighting in the dark. None of these were particularly joyful events, and the gloomy faces of the wolves surrounding him perfectly reflected that.

He had just finished his day training and Taehyung decided to go for a walk, alone, as he often did lately. He walked a few miles around the pack, admiring the ancient but beautiful lay out of the houses that were all made out of wood and scattered deep within the forest. He was looking around lazily when he came across a sight which nearly gave him a heart attack.

No, it can't be.

"Bae-Baekhyun?" He stuttered, not believing his eyes. His breath hitched when the person in question looked back at him, not expecting to be called out by a stranger.
But was he really a stranger? Taehyung couldn't help but make a few steps forward, not trusting his sight and needing to make sure of what he was looking at.

As he came close to the person who was still staring at him in puzzlement, he gasped.

"What the fuck?" Taehyung muttered as he came face to face with the face of his dead brother.
