A myriad of different emotions hit Taehyung square in the face as he was staring at Baekhyun. The age must've changed a few traits and matured others, but it was still the exact same person. Taehyung had the odd feeling that he was staring in the mirror.

"Wh-who are you?" Baekhyun asked in a hesitant voice. Taehyung's heart did a violent lurch. How can't he remember him? But Taehyung was suddenly more confused than he was before. His brother was dead. He saw him die. When they were rescued from that cave ten years ago, they took out his brother's body and told Taehyung that he didn't make it. After that... after that things were fuzzy. But Taehyung remembers now the funeral, and the hollowness he felt inside for years after it even if he lost his memories, the feeling had lingered on. So how come he was now standing in front of him, on the other side of the country?
Suddenly, a tall brown haired figure approached from behind the trees.

"Baek? What's going on?" The alpha, Taehyung supposed from the smell, approached them both before putting his hand on Baekhyun's shoulder in a very protective manner. It was then that Taehyung noticed the matching mark on their necks. It was Baekhyun's mate. The aforementioned didn't really answer out loud, so he supposed they were talking with their link, until the alpha adressed him directly.

"I'm Chanyeol, you must be Kim Taehyung. How do you know Baekhyun?" His voice was authoritative and demanding. Taehyung wasn't about to harm either of them of even do anything, but he didn't want more problems and he still wanted his questions answered, so he said.

"He's my brother." The wolf in question widened his eyes and turned to look at his mate, again communicating with the mate bond.

"That's impossible." He finally muttered, even his voice was so similar that it hurt to listen to.

"I should think so too. My brother is dead ten years ago during the last war." Taehyung responded, earning even more puzzled looks from the couple. "Listen, I have no idea how this is possible either, but you look exactly like my brother and you have the same name as him. You're also both omegas, this is really odd."

Taehyung approached them as he was speaking but the two both took a few steps back. When he noticed this, Taehyung stopped advancing and sighed in defeat.

"Can I please just ask you a few questions? Believe me this is as much a shock for me as it is for you."

"We can talk about this and answer your questions." Baekhyun spoke up this time. "But only inside the Head Alpha's office."

Taehyung didn't see a reason to object to that, so he nodded and the three of them headed to Jiyong's office.

They had barely arrived when Jimin and Hoseok came out through the door.

"Hey Tae! What's up?" Jimin beamed at his best friend before he notice the two wolves behind him and furrowed his brows. "Is everything okay?" The beta was right in asking the question because the look on the wolves were anything but joyful. Unfortunately, he didn't get a an answer because the Head Alpha himself headed out of his office.

"Kim! I was looking for you. Please come inside, there's some things we need to talk about." He gestured for them to come inside, which they did, leaving Jimin and Hoseok behind them.

"Is there a problem Chanyeol?"

"Yes, Alpha." The tall wolf spoke up, and then looked at his mate to explain.

"Kim Taehyung has a few questions regarding my family affiliation."

Jiyong frowned in confusion, prompting Taehyung to explain this time.

"Baekhyun looks exactly like my dead brother. Not only do they both have the same name and rank, but the resemblance is uncanny."

"How old is- was your brother, Taehyung?" Jiyong asked.

"He was a year older than me. So I'd say if he were alive, he'd be twenty-two years old."

The mates looked at each other once more.

"I'm twenty-two." Baekhyun said, to Taheyung's surprise. Jiyong also nodded, confirming the omega's words.

"But... that's..." Taehyung's mind was spinning. "Who's your parents?" He turned to the omega. "If you don't mind me asking." He added softly, seeing the distress on the wolf's face.

"I was raised by my mom. I-" Baekhyun suddenly looked pale. "I never knew my dad."

"Byun Bora." Jiyong suddenly called. Baekhyun's eyes widened and so did Taehyung's. The Head Alpha was summoning his mother. Taehyung heard of this sort of power but he never saw it before. It must be something to do with old packs power, because he certainly knew his brother couldn't summon any one of their pack this way. A few moments passed by, and then a beautiful slender woman knocked before coming in.

"Alpha, you called me." He voice was sweet and lovely, she had the voice of a singer and judging by her appearance, Taehyung wouldn't be surprised if she were.

"Bora, there's a situation that I need your help settling." The woman seemed to notice her son and his mate and smiled and them, but then she turned to Taehyung and her face fell. "Do you know this man?"

Bora stayed stuck on Taehyung's face, recognition and wonder filling her eyes, but most of all, dread. Taehyung looked at her as well but couldn't figure out anything familiar about her.

"Kim Taehyung." She breathed out.

"Mom, do you know him?" Baekhyun who was until now watching with anticipation, suddenly questioned. His mother couldn't seem to look away from the young alpha but then Baekhyun called her again and she turned to him, face etched with sadness.

"I knew his father." She said finally. Taehyung's brows rose up. "Kim Daehyun. The former Head Alpha of Lunae."

"That's our packs old name." Taehyung marveled. He didn't know many people who remembered the name of their old pack. Whoever this woman was, she definitely had links with the North.

Bora nodded and then looked at her Alpha. Jiyong was looking perplexed but he patiently waited for her to calm down before he asked. "Is he Baekhyun's father?"

There was a deafening silence. Taehyung held his breath, and Chanyeol had both his arms wrapped around his mate. A lone tear fell from Bora's face, and then she nodded.

There was an audible gasp and Taehyung realized it was coming from him. Bora, however, turned to her son and grabbed his shoulders.

"I'm sorry baby. I couldn't tell you, it was too dangerous-"

"Bora, explain yourself." Jiyong's voice interrupted her. She stopped mid-sentence and turned back to face the Alpha, her eyes capturing Taehyung's wild ones.

"I- I-" she stuttered miserable, her arms now circling herself. "It was a long time ago." She started. "Daehyun and I were fated mates."

"That's impossible." Both Baekhyun and Chanyeol interjected at the same time. Taehyung looked at them in confusion. He knew his parents weren't fated mates, so it was very plausible for his father to have had one. "You're an alpha."

Taehyung suddenly whirled around to face the woman and sniffed the air one, twice. How hadn't he noticed before? He didn't know. But Bora was indeed an alpha. And wasn't that extremely curious? Taehyung suddenly felt eyes on him and indeed, Jiyong was staring at him. Something in his mind clicked then. Jungkook and he weren't the only alphas who were fated.

"It's true. We were." Bora said rather miserably. "I had two children with him."

"What?" Asked Baekhyun at the same time as Taehyung asked "Who?"

"Your twin brother, Byeonghyun."
