Few days prior

Namjoon was losing his shit. It's been a week since Taehyung went to look for his mate deep within the South. And it's been a week since Namjoon knew something bad had happened. Namjoon never received full confirmation that his brother found his mate, or that he was safe in Bangtan with Jimin and Yoongi. He only got confirmation about getting in the South but nothing more. As it turned out, a few days later the Council decided to get inside Lupus and get answers on their own. Ultimately discovering that the heir Kim was nowhere to be found.

But that wasn't what Namjoon was scared of, after all, the Council didn't have full jurisdiction of what went on inside the packs and it's not like the Council didn't have a hand in the disappearing of his brother. Namjoon knew they had something to do with it even if they acted their part in being shocked the young alpha wasn't there.
It was only a few days later that Namjoon realized what was really going on. The council was creating a distraction by keeping Lupus busy with how he had apparently "kidnapped" the heir of Bangtan and "forced" him to mate with his brother and how he was an incompetent leader what with the rogues they had captured who basically escaped and were in the wild again.
It was all but perfectly calculated distraction. The council managed to put Lupus under quarantine in order to judge their Alpha'a leadership and effectively cut off their communication with the entire werewolf community. Namjoon was living his worst nightmare and he didn't know what he should worry about more; the council, his brother's disappearance or his mate's pregnancy. A pregnancy which turned out to be extremely difficult.

Namjoon was barely keeping it together and even with all his wit and strategic thinking he was outnumbered. The Council did hold all the power over him now. So imagine his expression when two dirtied, tired and beaten up wolves showed up on his doorstep a couple hours ago, having travelled through the incredibly webbed tunnels that a long time ago, connected northern and southern packs together. The tunnels whose entrance was still kept a secret from the council and that only very few members knew of.

"We need your help, Alpha." Were the first words that came out of Jimin's mouth. Not a hello, not a sorry for the jumpscare, not even an explanation about their knowledge of the tunnels. But Namjoon didn't complain one bit. He hurried them inside the penthouse, grabbed them bottles of water and some food and ushered them to sit on the couch of his living room.

"Tell me." And Jimin and Hoseok both explained everything that had happened from the moment Taehyung left for the south up until Jungkook followed him there and them being stuck in Song's pack, laying flat all the information they had and the plan they wanted to piece together.

"We need to get Taehyung and Jungkook out of Song's pack. Alpha Jeon is ready to spur into action but he doesn't think Bangtan's forces will be enough against Song, especially since they have the council to back them up and a lot of other packs too. We need to take them by surprise so we can figure out a way to get Taehyung and Jungkook out and then see where we go from there." Hoseok explained to the couple in front of them.

"Where we go from there is war, there's no doubt about it. If we decide to launch an attack on Song's pack there's no way it will be taken as anything but an offense and then we won't have a choice but to go to war with them." Namjoon replied, brows still furrowed in thought. They were at an impasse and the only way out seemed to be bloodshed.

"Believe me, Namjoon, I thought about it too. We've talked about all the possible outcomes with our pack before we came here. There's no way to get them out of there unscathed. There's just so much more security around Song's pack that it's impenetrable."
Jimin reasoned earning a stiff nod from the head Alpha after a bit.

"Alright. Just tell us what you need us for and we will comply. This has gone for far too long, the council needs to pay for their actions." Jin said firmly and the three wolves nodded.
