Taehyung and Jungkook had fallen asleep in that same position.

Since neither wanted to move and break the small bubble they had created, the pair ended up passed out on the brunette's bed with their hands still interlocked.
At least that's how Yeonjun discovered them when he went to wake them up.
It was already late in the afternoon and some of the boys went to get already made food from the village after spending the day racing in their wolves form around the cabins area.

Yeonjun didn't know what to do with the sleeping figures. Should he wake them up or should he let them be?

When a soft snore was heard from one of the boys he decided he would let them rest a bit more and turned around to exit and close the door behind him.

"They're out. For two grown alphas, none of them even stirred in my presence." Yeonjun explained to a listening Jimin.

"Well, let them be. It's about time it  happened anyway." Jimin mumbled the last part under his breath.
Only, the blue haired wolf caught it nonetheless.

"What do you mean?"

Jimin looked up at Yeonjun. With his blue hair swiped back and showing off his features, Jimin marveled at how the younger looked more like his cousin than he did a couple years ago. They could be mistaken as siblings.
He wondered if he should just tell him. Actually, Jimin didn't know how his best friend would react if his cousin gets to know of his situation with Jungkook as well but Jimin wanted someone else to carry the burden with him. If he was going to feel guilty for leaving his best friend alone to get closer to his actual mate, Jimin wanted someone to help.
Concluding it's for the best someone else knew, he blurted out.

"They're mates."

Yeonjun's eyes widened comically.

"Seriously?" He breathed out, still unsure of wether the blonde was joking or not. "But you.." he trailed off, unable to finish.

Jimin shook his head.

"We're best friends I think it should have ended there to begin with."

"I'm sorry." Yeonjun felt bad for the blonde.

"I found my mate as well." Jimin added abruptly.

Oh, nevermind.

"For real? Who is it?"

Jimin sighed.

"That's the thing, I don't know."

Taehyung slowly opened his eyes, for once not being attacked by the blinding light of his window.
The exhaustion he slept with was long gone as he stretched like a cat, yawning longingly.

Taehyung startled when something moved beside his body but soon understood whom it belonged to when the appeasing scent hit him.
The mop of dark silky hair was peeking out of the mattress's messy sheet.
Taehyung's gaze fixated on the figure that was breathing softly, already waking up. His head was still dizzy from sleep but he had a funny feeling in his tummy. A feeling that only grew in intensity when the mass of hair moved to reveal a puffed face and a pair of maroon doe eyes.

When those same eyes met his line of vision, Taehyung's ones widened making him quickly look away, his cheeks heating up.

What the hell was wrong with him?!Now the fucker was probably gonna make fun of him for acting like a shy little schoolgirl!

However, the ravenette only got up, checked his phone and made his way out of the room.

What. The. Fuck.

Taehyung was confused to say the least. That's it? They shared a bed and now the other was acting like they were some strangers— which they were but the alpha was too pissed off to clearly think about it.

Memories of last night suddenly hit the wolf like a truck making his mood drop even more dramatically.

He can't believe he had a panic attack and that Jungkook was the one to help him through it.

Taehyung had many different feelings about it.

He was embarrassed. He didn't have an attack in so long and out of everywhere it had to happen in front of everyone.

He was grateful. The raven haired boy didn't have to help him but he did and even though Taehyung would never admit it out loud, he was thankful.

Lastly, he was confused. Why did Jungkook leave like this? He didn't even say a word and just left him sitting dumbfounded on the bed.

Sure, he didn't know what he was expecting the other to do, but ignoring him and leaving was the least he anticipated his mate to do.

Little did Taehyung know at that moment, that things were about to take a significant turn.

"Jimin?" The blonde turned from where he was staring absentmindedly at the scenery from the kitchen window wall to face the speaker.

"Hi." He smiled

"Hi." The ravenette smiled back.

Jungkook approached the other and sat where the blonde tapped with his free hand on the stool beside him.

Jimin offered the boy a sip from his hot chocolate which the latter happily accepted. Chocolate was his weakness after all.

He sipped from the steamy drink and hummed at the sweet taste.

"Thank you." The blonde decided to say after a few minutes of them quietly enjoying the drink and the company.

"For what?" Jungkook looked at him confused.

"For helping Tae yesterday. Actually no." The boy put the cup in his hand on the table and spoke with more determination. "Thank you for everything. For putting up with him and not rejecting him. And also for not forcing him into submission." He eyes him intensely, as if telling him he knew Jungkook could do the latter just fine but chooses not to.
Jungkook was stunned, but he responded to the former's implication with seriousness.

"Never."

Jimin smiled warmly at the boy, adding.
"I hope you know that Taehyung isn't doing what he does on purpose. He is just a difficult person to understand and he doesn't see things the way we see them. He might feel like a handful but I know that deep down he's just a little boy doing what he thinks is best." The blonde was speaking with a hint of sadness behind his words.
He really loved his best friend and he knew damn well how everyone else felt about him.
He was just so bewildered by the way Jungkook handled him despite everything.
You see, Jimin arrived to what we can call a state of acceptance.
He had a while to think about it and his one wish as of now was for his best friend to truly be happy. To accept his bond with Jungkook and to just live.
Jimin loved Taehyung with his whole being but he recognized the fact that he wasn't what the brunette needed.
He wasn't what Taehyung needed in order to stop suffering, stop fighting his demons from the past and start living in the present by accepting them and building his new self upon them.
He needs someone to help him embrace his scars and open his heart to the world.
And who would be better fit to help him better than his lifelong chosen one?
Jimin understands all of this.

But did Taehyung do?
