It's been a week since Jungkook left the pack. His family and friends behind. A week of pure chaos and grief if you asked Yoongi.
He just couldn't understand why it happened. Why did he leave? He'd ask this question everyday but never found the answer.
In the first days, Alpha Jeon was seething. He didn't know how to cope with the fact that his own son left without as much as a small explanation. So he went to hunt. He hunted for two nights non stop to take his mind off it. Leaving the pack in the Luna's hands who was no better than her mate if not worse.
The rest of the pack were just as confused and sad.
Jisoo ended up having a real panic attack because she was overwhelmed with the feeling of the lost connection. She wouldn't tell anyone but she loved Jungkook so much. She knew he wasn't her mate because even if she was only fifteen he would've have felt the bond before her. But she fell in love nonetheless. And she had it very hard.
The rest of the cousins were just straight up sad.
Everyone had a soft spot for their meant to be next Alpha. They admired him so much and looked up to him. He was smart, relaxed, caring and very lovable all in all.
They all settled on the fact that he was very unhappy inside. And although it was hard, they started accepting it.
However, Yoongi wasn't having any of it.
He would stay up most of the nights thinking. He looked everywhere in Jungkook's room but found absolutely nothing. It's like this departure was planned for a long time which only helped in rendering Yoongi more angry. Angry with himself.
"All this time he was hurting and I didn't even see it." He was beating himself up again.

"Sugar, you couldn't know.." Hoseok was sitting by his side on one of the benches on campus. They came here to collect Jungkook's documents only to find that the aforementioned swiped them all before he was gone. He applied for switching colleges months ago.

"I don't know anymore Hobi, I feel terribly responsible. Even father wouldn't talk to me anymore."
Hoseok engulfed his mate in a tight hug feeling the latter shake in his arms.

"I'm gonna find him." The now white haired Beta spoke slowly after a few minutes of silently crying.
Hoseok's eyes widened at his mate's words.

"Sugar, you can't do this... we don't even know where he went because the link is broken."

"But what if something happened to him?! I won't ever forgive myself Hobi." Yoongi choked looking away.

"Youngs look at me." The brown haired boy took his boyfriend's chin in his hand and turning his face to him. "Jungkook is a strong Alpha wolf. He is old enough and based off on what we saw it seems he had made up his mind to leave for a while now. So I doubt anything we do would've changed that. So please stop feeling bad for it, it's not your fault. Okay?" His grip tightened on his whimpering mate. He felt bad but he needed to make his lover understand that his brother's going away was not his responsibility. The white haired slowly nodded his head with tears still shining in his warm golden wolf pupils.
Hoseok leaned to kiss his forehead delicately, a sign for an Alpha to show his protection and care.

"He will be alright."

"Father."

"Not now Yoongi, please." Alpha Jeon was sat on his desk, his usually calm and collected posture now slightly fazed as he didn't even look his older son in the eyes.

"No father, it's time to talk about it. I'm done mourning in hideout. We need to do something."

"You think I don't know?!" The Alpha finally snapped. Eyes bright red.
Yoongi closed his eyes, trying to control his emotions that seemed all of the place lately before speaking again.

"I know we can't do much because he left now but I know how to make sure he's at least okay. I know it's against the ru-"

"What is it?" He cut his son, already straightening his posture. He knew that looking into a member who, willingly and without consulting, left the pack was against the rules because it was considered as a form of treason. But his father couldn't care less. Not when it was his own son and blood. He needed to at least know his son in the hands of a pack and not as a rogue where his chances of living were close to none.

"I already tried contacting the nearest packs. At least those who're our allies to ask them if they felt a wolf cross near their territories. Alpha Min owes me so he was kind enough to order his wolves to search his lands. He didn't smell him nor did the others so my only guess is that he went to the north."

Jeon was already fidgeting with some documents while hearing his Beta out.

"North? But there's barely any packs there? Only the cities and.."

Yoongi seemed to catch up very quickly so he nodded.

"The Lupus pack."

"I haven't heard from them in a while. At least not ever since that tragic accident ten years ago. They seemed to have disappeared into the civilization."

"I have no idea who took over as the Alpha. I heard Kim had five sons but one of them was an omega and the others died?"

"I'm not really sure but if their pack survived that horrible attack years ago they must be really strong and who knows how we can reach them if they managed to hide themselves well all this time."

"We have to try. Send me there father, I will go on a mission and try to contact them. Maybe even make them our allies." Yoongi suggested in a very stable and assertive voice.

"I'm not sure Yoongi, this isn't some basic peace treaty over lands or rogues. This pack is far and we don't even know them. This can be really delicate especially if they understand that they have our future Alpha in their hands."

"I will try my best to make this mission as harmless as possible. Plus if Jungkook is no longer part of Bangtan he's not its next Alpha anymore." He reminded his dad who seemed to forget that he no longer has an Alpha to take after him. That seemed to play the trick.

"Well then, Beta. I give you my permission to travel to the north and seek alliance with the Lupus pack and make sure your brother is cared for and protected."

Yoongi nodded his head twice in acknowledgment, proud that he changed his father's mind and will make sure his brother is alright.

"You can take two of our warrior wolves with you. I'm positive this won't be a cakewalk after all. I will make Beta Jung my second in your absence."

"I will do as asked, Alpha. Thank you." Yoongi bowed but before he can leave his father's study he felt the man's embrace.
Yoongi hugged his father back with as much affection before bowing again.

"Be careful, son."

"I will, father."

A.N: yes leaving the pack grounds with the order of the Alpha is different from leaving with the intention of never coming back if I make sense lol. The latter means that your intention is to break this link that connects you with the pack therefore they can't hear you, or smell you as much as before.
