It was nighttime when the whole pack gathered around the huge fire with flames licking furiously onto the wood and reaching high for the starry night above.

The celebration has just begun, music loudly playing, drinks being passed on and barely anyone sitting down.

Jungkook was an exception. He was leaning on a particularly large tree, a beer still full in hand, enjoying the autumn breeze blowing his dark locks to show a pale forehead and dark defined eyebrows. The first few buttons of his black shirt were carelessly opened showing smooth skin glistening with sweat.

Jungkook was happy. Or at least he made himself believe so. After the ceremony of holding hands, taking the oath and submitting to his new Alpha, he immediately felt the link being put into place. He was surprised to feel so warmly welcomed into the pack, different people wishing him a happy and long life by their side and greeting him heartily.
So yes he was happy, but so sad at the same time. Why you may ask? Because it was getting real.
You see Jungkook had made up his mind about leaving his pack months ago. And he executed the plan perfectly. He stopped thinking about it once he started school and lost himself in the feeling of normalcy.
But now that he was member of a new pack it dawned on him that he, in fact, left everything behind. But for what?
He missed his parents awfully, his cousins, his best friends, his brother.. oh how he misses Yoongi and Hoseok. His brother probably hates him right now. He did leave without any explanation after all. But what explanation could've he given more than 'I did this for you.' It started sounding dumb and stupid to him already. So what now?

He couldn't stop the laugh that bubbled in him when the strong scent of honey and pine trees hit him full force. He tried to block the scent the whole night but in this exact moment it just seemed to mock him.

"What are you laughing at?" Damn this voice and damn this scent and damn this boy. Jungkook was already hurting enough.

"None of your fucking business."

Taehyung couldn't stop the gasp that left his mouth even he tried.

"Excuse me?!"

"Excuse you?" The raven bit back. He put the beer he was holding on the ground and got up in one move, wiping his pants slowly. He approached the slightly gaping male in front of him and glared. "What? Cat got your tongue?"

"You arrogant brat! And to think I came here to apologize!" Taehyung exclaimed with a snarl.

"Apologize for what? Being a complete asshole from the very start or rejecting me before even getting to know me?" Jungkook didn't know why he was so mad all of a sudden and he really didn't care at this point.

"I.."

"Exactly." Jungkook went past the boy, not even minding the goosebumps caused by the touch of their shoulders together. Whatever, he just needed to get away from the suffocating scent and its owner.

Taehyung kept looking at the trees in front of him for a good moment, feeling utterly confused. And bad. He definitely felt bad. He knew, deep down, that Jungkook didn't deserve the treatment he gave him on their first meeting. But he couldn't help it, he was scared, shocked and his alpha senses were overwhelming him.
Needless to say, he fucked up.

"Jungkook! Where are you going? It's only 10 pm man the real party just started."
