"You seem to be troubled about the wrong things, my dear."
Taehyung narrowed his eyes at the Luna who had quite the indiscernible look on his face, a hand effectively grasping his stomach.
"What he means, is that you're talking about Jungkook as if you two have been actual lovers." Namjoon interjected, quick to intervene before his sibling opened his mouth to voice his undeniable misunderstanding. The boy frowned before opening his mouth again to argue but shut up once nothing coherent appeared to come to his mind. Even he acknowledged how much his relationship with Jungkook has been a... bumpy ride to say the least.
"Of course excluding the part where you two were.. physical.""How do you know that?" The brunette found himself curiously asking though a bit of a temper could easily be interpreted through the choice of his tone.
"I sleep in that house too, you know." Namjoon lifted one questionable brow and the young alpha deflated. It's not like they were trying to be obvious but it's also not like they could really temper down their manifestations of pleasure. They were unmarked mates circling around a very delicate territory, of course they were going to be loud!
Taehyung coughed and turned away. He assumed Jungkook must have led them on on what happened between them the night Taehyung had spent painfully recovering his memories whilst his mate was on the other side of the pack, ignoring his existence—rightfully so— in such a bad timing.
"I guess you could say I had a reality check." He decided to hop back on the original topic.
Another snort. Jin just couldn't help himself. The more Taehyung stranded before them, stubbornly justifying himself and defending his and Jungkook's relationship when it's been months ever since the raven haired boy came in while he did nothing but reject the true blood and inevitably let the both of them suffer, the more it sounds ridiculous.
Jin idly wondered how strong could a mate bond—unconsumed must he add— be considering how much the two alphas have been pulling and pulling on it, reaching near breaking point without it snapping yet."Taehyung." A voice sternly opposed on the silent staring war that was brewing between the brunette and the Luna, grabbing both their attention once more. "This is not a game anymore. You can't go about playing hide and seek with the mate bond depending on your mood swings. Your memory, by some crazy, fortunate occurrence has been restored and I am more than glad you can piece yourself together and make peace with your darkest scars as well as your current situation." The Head Alpha never once blinked from where his was pinning his brother with his eyes as he made sure the message was getting through. "If you are going to claim Jeon Jungkook as your mate, you are not not only going to publicly announce it to the entirety of our pack's but to the Council as well."
"We're not going to start a... war with them, are we?"
"No. I will not allow a repeat of what happened more than a decade ago. The Council had continuously proved itself untrustworthy and vicious, borderline cruel if what they did to the Southern pack's is anything to go by. There wouldn't be any need for a combat of strength, but rather a head on confrontation."
Taehyung's eyes lit up as he seemed to catch onto where his brother was going with this.
"You want to humiliate them." He affirmed in resignation. His brother offered a cunning smile.
"Humiliate is too strong a word. Let's just say, discredit?"
"Cancel." Jin added.
"More like it." The Head Alpha nodded. "If we can get you and Jungkook to actually mate, to mark, there will be too much evidence to dismiss."
"It will shut up the uproar of the other packs, and the pure blooded fanatics." Seokjin supplied with a matching smirk with his husband.
"The Council's word would be worthless, and the advances of any sort of rejection between you and your mate would only be some falsely reported testimonies."
Taehyung's mind whirled with a supply of scenarios which would make the Council fall from the older packs' estime and make them actually grow a backbone against their every prob into their lives. It's time there was a somewhat legitimate Werewolf Council to turn to in times of need and disagreement, and not some joke of an archaic, power hungry, manipulative dickheads. Taehyung will never stop holding it against them the former war. The loss of his family, his memory and his sanity were all because of them.
"I can't wait to see their faces after we make our announcement." He found himself uttering.
"There must be a teeny tiny little detail to consider, though." Seokjin got up, hand still slowly caressing the still non-visual bump of his abdomen. Taehyung looked at him, eyes following his hand movement absently. "We have to find Jungkook first."
"Ah." The brunette whose eyes never left his brother-in-law's stomach found himself smiling with no humor. "Well that shouldn't be too difficult."

"Jimin for fuck's sake tell me where he is!"
A long whine followed by multiple hushed sounds were heard from the device Taehyung was holding with a vice grip."Taehyungie I'm so sorry but I really can't tell you it's way too dangerous if word goes out where he is."
"You weren't supposed to tell him that!"
"Shit.."
"I'm still here!" Taehyung snapped, recognizing the second voice as the ravenette's brother and suddenly he didn't care. "YOONGI YOU FUCKER TELL ME WHERE HE IS!"
He could hear a lot more muffled voices before a cold voice answered him."The fuck you want to know that for? I thought you didn't care enough to accept him as a mate now you want to ruin his chances at even being mated?!"
Taehyung closed his eyes, desperately trying to keep his calm demeanor. He can't mess things up and if Yoongi was willing to talk to him on the phone, even if it was just to insult him, he would take that chance.
"Hyung, please, I need to talk to him. We have a plan. And I can't exactly say it over the phone but there's a way for us to fix things."
A snort was heard and Taehyung winced. He didn't like that type of reaction.
"There's nothing left to fix, Taehyung. If you desperately want to make things right, then by all means leave my brother alone. That's the best thing you can do."
Just like that, came the beeping sound as Yoongi hung up.
Taehyung felt cold emotions shower him from head to toe. He knew what he sounded like to the rest of the wolves; a lunatic, having completely forgot everything that had went down between his mate and himself.
Suddenly the into cold turned into flaming heat. Because It didn't matter. It didn't matter in the slightest if they fought, insulted and broke each other's hearts.
What mattered was that Kim Taehyung wanted Jeon Jungkook.
He wanted him more than anything else. And he couldn't care less if it had taken him being on a verge of another war to become aware of it.
He had already lost his dearest one in the first battle because he was too young and too weak to do anything beside cower in fear.
Now, Taehyung would fight til his last breath to get what he wants.Yoongi could try and separate them, and Jungkook could ignore him as much as he wants, but Taehyung could feel his side of the bond just as much as Jungkook did his, and he knew that whatever happened between them, wasn't unfixable.
In no time, they will reunite. And when that time comes, Taehyung will not let a single thing come between them ever again, not even himself. And that was a promise he was willing to tear himself up so as to keep.
