It was even easier to convince Taehyung to join the meeting, Jungkook didn't know why he felt bad. Maybe it was the indeed tortured expression on the alpha's face, or the hollow, dark circled eyes, or maybe the void expression adorning his face. In any case, Jungkook didn't like it. But still, he didn't feel particularly inclined to care more than that. He just noticed something, acknowledged it, and then moved on.

None of the two talked on the way to the office, which was only a few feet from the Main House really, but the silence still felt loud and suffocating. Enough to be noticed by the entire group once they got in.

Jimin latched onto his best friend's side as soon as the latter stepped into the room. Jungkook was relieved, he wouldn't know how to explain this feeling he felt but it was like the alpha was no longer his direct responsibility. It was odd, he never felt this detached from the mate bond before.

"Perfect." The Head Alpha started, "Taehyung, I'm glad you're doing well and that you decided to join us." He continued. "As you know I'm sure, breaking you and Jungkook out of Song's pack necessitated an attack which nearly breached the Peace Treaty. The Council's influence is stronger than ever as of today. They managed to weaken our borders and lessen our alliances. But that's far less alarming than what they're currently doing to the North." He looked to his Beta, and Yoongi took over.

"We have enough evidence to know for sure that Lupus is under tough investigation." He was eyeing everyone in the room, but his eyes were mainly fixed on Taehyung who was unknowledgeable of the major events, "They managed to shut down communication and cut them off from the rest of the world. We have no idea what exactly is going on down there nor what their intentions really are, but we can't stay here and let the Council decide."

Jungkook was suddenly looking at the tall brunette, judging his reaction to the information his brother laid out. To his surprise, Taehyung kept his miserable empty face and only nodded once. That was new. Jungkook was expecting many things from the alpha, but not this lack of reaction. He remembered how he completely flipped off when he learned Jimin was going to the South for the first time. This was way worse news, and yet, it was as if Yoongi had merely announced the weather was bad or something.

"Do you have any suggestions? A comment perhaps?" Jiyong asked after a beat of silence, himself not trusting this weird lack of reaction from the Lupus heir.

"Do we have enough forces to take down the Council?" He suddenly asked, prompting the six pair of eyes to look at him in surprise.

"Unfortunately, even if we combine our forces to the North's, we can't be sure of a victory. The Council has been recruiting, and they're simply too strong for us right now." The Luna answered and he nodded slowly.

"We thought maybe you'd know if Namjoon and Jin had any plan to neutralize them?" Yoongi asked. Taehyung glared at him fiercely before shaking his head. To Jungkook's shock, Yoongi only looked down.

And then he remembered. Of course. Yoongi might be asking about the plan Taehyung had called about when he was trying to figure out Jungkook's whereabouts. Yoongi had shut him off then, but now, everyone knew how precious information from the North was.

"No. Nothing that'll be effective as for now." Jungkook couldn't help but be relieved once more. He knew exactly what that plan was and as he previously debated with himself, it wasn't something he wanted to do.

"Well, the only option left for us now is try and reach Lupus to find something together." The Head Alpha declared in defeat. There was obviously no other choice for now, they needed to use the tunnels again.
