Jungkook has always been what you can call a lone wolf. Sure he was soon to be head alpha of his pack, surrounded by loving family of wolves and the best of friends, but he always felt like something was missing. See, Jungkook was 21 but hasn't found his mate yet. He just stopped waiting for that special person for three years now. As the rest of his friends and pack members were blessed to have their significant others by the tender age of 16, he was alone.
Everyone was worried because normality was the stronger the wolf the faster he found his mate. And Jungkook was damn strong. His parents lost hope as well because 'maybe your mate died, kook?' Or 'maybe she's so weak that you'd be better off without the burden of bearing with her'.
Whatever the case, Jungkook gave up on finding his other half along with the title of being the next alpha of Bangtan Pack. Because "what pack has no Luna?"

"Jungkook don't be like that! You're very much capable of mating any girl you want and make her Luna!" Alpha Jeon exclamed frustrated by his son's stubbornness.
"Father, I refuse to bring any wolf and make her Luna of one the strongest packs." Jungkook sighed, tired of having this conversation yet again with his parents.

"Honey, we'll make sure to choose a very strong wolf for you don't worry about that." His mother tried to reassure him while putting both her hands on his shoulders. They were all sitting in his father's office in the main house of the pack.
Having had enough, Jungkook got on both his feet.
"I need some air." He bowed before storming out, leaving his parents desperately looking at the door.

Jungkook made his way to the pack house where all the rooms are situated and where most of the pack usually gather.

"JK you came at the right time we were about to race in the forest, you in?" Hoseok informed the raven head as soon as he laid foot inside. He was laying comfortably beside his mate and jungkook's older brother Yoongi.

"Yeah why not, I could use some fresh air." He shrugged. Before removing his jacket and throwing it on the sofa.

"Yay! Let's go." He urged the rest of the boys that consisted of Chanyeol, Baekhyun, Yugyeom, BamBam, Jackson, Lisa, Jennie, Jisoo, Jinyoung and a bunch of other wolves sitting there that weren't joining them but he made sure to bother them too. That's just the way Hoseok is.

Once they arrived in the heart of the forest and found the lake they were looking for, they immediately changed into their human form, no one really caring about their nakedness and moving inside the water. Except for the girls who wore the clothing they carried on their snout in their wolf form.

"I missed this!" Jennie sighed swimming to the edge to rest against one of the rocks.

"We came here literally three days ago." Lisa snorted teasing her mate and kissing her cheek. Jennie pouted.

"Yeah but summer break is over and we start classes in a week! I'm gonna miss this."

"I can bring you here whenever you want sweetheart." Lisa laughed at her adorable mate and kissed her gently, some started complaining about the pda while others are doing the same in the other side of the lake.

"Mother goddess stop jumping each other wherever we go it's disgusting." Jungkook who was now watching without commenting suddenly started throwing water and the couple which soon turned into a giant water fight.

Yoongi who was watching his little brother from time to time noticing how quiet and introverted the poor boy became, smiled a little bit when he saw him laughing his bunny smile on full display. He was honestly feeling very sad for his sibling because growing up, he was always the affectionate type and would always like to cuddle and brag about how much his mate would be lucky because of how much love he would give him. And now, you can clearly see the difference in the once happy boy who now barely smiles, speaks or even go out with the rest of his friends. He just couldn't wrap around his head the idea of mating someone who was not destined for him. See, Jungkook may look tough, buffy and intimidating for the outside but is nothing but a helpless romantic on the inside. A big softie. Therefore he is alone, refuses to mate or even date any girls no matter how beautiful or lovely they are and also refuses to take his fathers place as the future alpha because he just believes that he doesn't deserve it. An alpha as strong as he is but without a mate surely means something. And in Jungkook's vocabulary, it means he doesn't deserve to be the alpha.
