Chapter Eight - In Touch
Baby woke up earlier than she would if she had slept in her bed, and she had more time to shower and preen her wild hair. She even took some time to go downstairs and make breakfast for Collin and his dad.
By the time she was done, it was only 7AM, so she put Mr. Norwell's breakfast in the microwave and took Collins up to surprise him.
"Collin. Hey Collin, wakey up," She poked his muscled arm, "Col- lin." Her whines did nothing,
She whistled, nudged his side, tickled him. Nothing worked.
Collin slept like a bear.
So she did the next best thing and straddled his waist, "Collin, wake uppppppp."
Her pitched voice made him groan in his sleep, his hands lifting to grab whatever was sat on him.
And that was Baby, and his hands landed on her bare thighs, that did the trick. Collin woke up with a startle, his bestfriend sitting on him with a smile, "Baby?"
"Hmm. Morning Collin." She chirped.
He glared at her, "Why?"
Her smile got brighter, "Why what? I brought you breakfast in bed my Prince."
Collins glare numbed down, and he smiled back, "Oh. Nice, thank you Martin's."

The two arrived at school right on time and were arguing about Baby's snoring,
"I don't snore." She muttered under her breath,
Collin flicked her on the forehead, "Yes you do. You sound like a little generator, you vibrate." He chuckled at her offended look, his eyes straying from hers for a moment. Baby noticed and asked, "Looking for someone?"
He brushed it off casually and returned his gaze to hers.
Truth was, Collin had seen Percy in the parking lot a while back, and he rushed Baby into the school,
Now, Percy saw the pair standing at Baby's locker, his eyes darting between the two friends.
He decided to approach the two, his strides fast and determined,
Collin straightened his posture and shot Baby a small glance to find her blowing raspberries and giggling to herself.
"Baby." Percy alerted the girl to his presence, blatantly ignoring Collin.
Baby, tongue lolling from her mouth, turned and greeted politely, "Hi Percy." Her face fell soon after though, remembering Collins request.
She immediately backed away, a gesture that didn't go unnoticed by Percy, but he had come for a reason, and decided to let it go for now.
"Your number." He eyed her, then glanced at Collin, "So we can stay in touch." Extending his hand, which held his phone, he waited patiently.
Baby bit her lip nervously, but figured that declining would be impolite, so she accepted the device and quickly added her number to his contact list.
"Thanks. See you soon."
After Percy was out of sight, Collin groaned, "Is that staying away?"
