THERE was an air of calm around Percy and Baby for the first time since everything that followed her transparency with her mom. There was finally some peace veiled over them that no one could interrupt and that Baby felt was just perfect.
She never had to fight for peace around him. He was basically the embodiment of the word for her. All warm hugs and soft kisses.
They both were at ease with their relationship, and their respective positions in each others live's. It was all perfect.
Even when sometimes the peace was disrupted by minor inconveniences.
“Are you sure you typed in the correct address?” Baby questioned for the umpteenth time since she had sat down in the passenger seat of Percy's car.
The man sighed heavily and peered at Collin and Brielle through the reflection of the mirror, the pair were dozing off while sharing earphones. He wished he were them now.
“Yes,” He assured through gritted teeth, “If I weren't sure, I would change the address. Maybe the GPS is rerouting. Have you checked like I asked an hour ago?”
Baby pouted at her boyfriend, “Don't be mean, I was just asking.”
Percy rolled his eyes lightly and glanced at her, “Sure.”
The two couples were on their way to a camping site three hours away from the city. A little vacation for them all, a request from Brielle who swore that they all needed it for the sake of their health.
Percy wasn't a fan of nature but the other three were, so he sucked it up and agreed to tag along. Taking leave off of work had made him cringe on the inside but he convinced himself that it would be okay.
Baby insisted that he was on the fast-track to becoming a workaholic.
“This is nice, don't you think?” She smiled to herself.
His sour mood faded a little when he heard the joy in her voice, “It is.”

Collin dragged Brielle's bags along with his as he trudged into the fancy cabin house behind his girlfriend.
Percy and Baby had already gone off to prepare their room.
An impressed noise left Collin, “This place is nice, I expected one huge tent in the middle of nowhere.”
Brielle laughed lightly, “We paid too much to get that kind of treatment.” She pulled on his jacket sleeve, “Come on, let's go explore.”
