F o r t y - F i v eSPACE was what they both needed. But Percy couldn't help but feel uneasy when he dropped Baby off at her apartment building, her hand slipping from his as she got out of his car. He followed her and offered to go up to her apartment with her.
Baby smiled knowingly, “You know, you're being pretty obvious.”
He shrugged innocently and gestured to the building, “It's been a long drive. Can I have some water?”
The girl let out a soft laugh and slipped her hand back into his, squeezing gently as she led him along into the building in front of them.

Percy fell asleep on her couch on purpose just so she could wake him up and tell him to go to bed. He coerced her into bed with him and held her close for the rest of the night.
When he woke up again, it was morning and Baby stared back at him with a fond look on her face.
“Call me, whenever you need me.” He murmured, lifting a hand to stroke her cheek.
She nodded but said, "I always need you. It's not supposed to be like that all the time.”
An argument bubbled up in his chest but he held back and simply asked earnestly, “Then call because I need you to sometimes. Please?”
With this, she agreed.
It was late afternoon when Percy left. Baby made sure to hug him tight and kiss him deeply. He lingered at the door long after it was shut, his hands trembling to knock and take back all his support for her progression just to have her back in his arms. To be selfish.
But he left anyway, hoping Baby would call soon.

Like any good friend, Noah dragged Percy into the safe confines of the living room to drink and be sullen about recent events.
"Don't be a pussy, take a shot for every time you have the urge to go to her house.”
Percy, already slightly flushed grinned at Noah, “We're gonna need more than three bottles of whiskey then.”
A small frown appeared on Noah's face, “You guys aren't done. Stop acting like you are.”
Red-faced and sulking, Percy let out a tired sigh, “I can't remember anything before we were together... She's all I know.”
Noah leaned back into the couch, “Oh god, you're so far gone.”
A sharp look appeared in Percy's eyes for a second, “I've loved her since I saw her for the first time. So yes, I'm far gone. There's no fucking shame in loving someone with everything in you, Noah.”
Noah laid a gentle hand on Percy's head, “I understand, and you're right. There's no shame in loving someone the way you love her.”
Nodding silently, Percy sunk deeper into the couch. The alcohol taking effect as Noah stroked his hair and let him lull off into a dreamless sleep.
