Chapter Thirteen - Alone Time Pt. 3
“No, that piece doesn't go there.” Baby huffed, frustrated.
Percy scoffed and pouted playfully, “Bossy much? I thought we were building the puzzle together.”
The girl stuck her tongue out in concentration and murmured back, “We are. You're just not very good at it."
Percy laughed and leaned over the coffee table, his face close to Baby's; the girl looking up at him with raised brows, “Meanie.”
Baby let out a small breath and looked down at the puzzle pieces on the table to avoid Percy's heated stare, “You're not really hurt, you're teasing.” She mused.
"Mm." He hummed in response and sat back onto a throw pillow. Instead of helping with the puzzle, Percy stared at Baby for the remainder of the time it took her to finish her puzzle.
A content smile spread on her face as she showed the boy her complete puzzle.
“—it's a cake.”
Percy groaned, “We sat here for an hour and the puzzle is a picture of a cake?”
Baby tilted her head to the side, “What were you expecting?”
He let out a breath, "Something worth an hour...”
The girl let out a snort of laughter, “That's silly, puzzles are fun because of the process. Not the picture on them."
Percy looked unconvinced.
