"Send me an email just before you drop them so we're prepared" Jason says and Sabah, the business owner, nods her head
We've just finished up with the photo shoot and it's safe to say I am absolutely drained. It's been such a long day and now I have a long night ahead of me too. Literally all I want to do is get home, have a long bath and stuff my face with junk food in front of the TV. But no, Adils deciding to get married instead.

How selfish

"Thank you so much for doing this, I still can't believe we got through to you" Sabah says standing up off her chair
"We were very reluctant on sending the email" her business partner and also friend, Hannah adds
"Don't be silly, I know what it's like trying to build customers and a brand for yourself and now that I have a platform finally I want to help others that are in the same position I was a few years ago" I smile back
"I'm so glad you got the recognition you deserved, you really do make the world a better place" Hannah says and I smile breaks out on my face
"Oh you're gonna make me cry" I say putting a hand to my heart, "come here"
I hug them both before Alice practically has to drag me out because she knows I'll be late to the wedding I have to attend to

"Is it not weird that you're going to your ex's wedding?" Alice asks
"You're going to your ex's wedding?" Jason asks
"Yeah that guy she was dancing with at the ball" Alice tells him and I see his eyes widen
"Wait, I thought you were with Harris?" Farhan asks turning his head back to me and Alice
"Keep your eyes on the stupid road" I say pushing his head back around
"She was with Adil and now she's talking to Harris again" Alice explains for me

Well not just talking

"So what happened with Adil?" Jason asks, "you guys looked quite loved up at the ball"
"It just didn't work out" I shrug wanting this conversation to end

"I'll see you guys next week" I say shutting the car door behind me and running over to my car, once we get back to the office
I drive home and quickly shower up, dry my hair and then get into my outfit which was baby blue with hints of baby pink and gold. I have much cuter outfits but me and Sarah aren't very close and I don't want to be outshining her or her family in anyway. Also luckily, Harris has a baby blue tie which matches perfectly.

Because I have the time, I do a pink eye look to help the pink in my clothes pop out and then wrap a muted gold hijab around my head to bring out the gold in my outfit. I throw my dupatta over my shoulder and pin it into place because I don't want it falling off or flying anywhere. I slip on my nude heels and grab my nude clutch bag. Just as I'm walking out the door I glance at my phone to see three missed calls from Harris so I ring him back

"Where've you been the past three times I rung you?" He asks as soon as he picks up
"My phone was on my bed on silent, I didn't hear it" I explain rummaging through my purse for my car keys
"Where are you man, look at the time"
"Harris it's ten past five, I'll be at your house in five minutes relax" I laugh turning my car engine on
"But I-", he sighs, "never mind just hurry up"
"Okay princess I'll be quick" I reply, to piss him off even more
"Drive safe" he mumbles before cutting me off
I laugh to myself, even when he's pissed off at me he still tells me to be careful.

Several minutes later I park up outside his house and knock on his door. The door opens to reveal a very handsome looking Harris, all suited up.
I clean the sides of my mouth with my finger, "Sorry I think I drooled a bit"
He chuckles in response to my cheeky comment, "you look stunning as always babe"

He grabs my hand and takes me into the house which confuses me because he was crying about being late not five minutes ago
"Bubs you said we were gonna be late wh-" he shushes me and turns to me before we enter the living room
"Close your eyes" he instructs
"What wh-" he shushes me again and I roll my eyes but oblige
He opens the door and helps me in before closing the door. He positions me in a certain place and then I feel him move away from me.

"Okay open your eyes"
"Ha-" I start but can't seem to get the words out, I've literally only spoken one full sentence since I've got here
The lights are dim, there's candles all over the room and there's red heart balloons all over. Not to mention the huge heart made of roses on the floor.

He comes closer and takes my hand in his and I can feel his hands shaking.
"Zara..." he takes a huge breath, "we haven't had an easy ride at all, up until a week ago I didn't know if you were actually ever going to be mine, whether your dad and brother would accept me. I just knew I would have fought for you no matter what"

He stops to regain himself, "honest to God, no one can ever make me happy like you do, you bring out the best in me I can't put it into words. You have grown so much in the past couple of years I've known you and you are the most independent inspirational woman I knew you'd always become from the moment I set eyes on you"

He looks me dead in the eye, "...and I just know, if inshallah Allah ever chooses to bless me with children, I want them to take after you"
The last part is what sets it off for me and a couple of the tears that had been forming in my eyes, fall out and I laugh between tears, wiping them away whilst carefully trying not to ruin my makeup.

He kneels down and a few more tears fall out, "so... Zara... will you marry me?" He opens up a box small box with the prettiest and shiniest of all rings
I nod my head, "of course I'll marry you" I laugh sniffling and trying to wipe away the tears

He grins at me with his dimples, before slipping the ring onto my finger and I stare at it in awe, it's gorgeous.
He pulls me in for a hug and he wraps his arms around my waist tight.
"I love you bubs"
"I love you too baby"

We pull away and he hands me a tissue to wipe my eyes and clean my nose.
"Right" he claps his hands, "we've got a wedding to go to"
I laugh and roll my eyes, "this is why you wanted me here earlier"
He gives me a knowing look before leading me out to his car.

And now for the ex's wedding. Yay.
