Currently I was running around like a headless chicken because I was packing to go to my parents's house and sorting out my outfit for tomorrow because it was my launch party
"Harris can you just- ugh" I yank a pair of leggings out from underneath him but manage to fall on my arse with the leggings in my hand
"You're mad" Harris comments laughing and I huff
"Can you just stop Harris I've got so much to do!" I whine and he stops laughing
"Okay okay" he holds his hands up in defence, "I'm sorry"

He stands up and turns the iron on, patiently waiting for it to heat up meanwhile I just stare at him
"What?" He asks throwing his glasses on my bed
"What you doing?"
"Ironing your clothes for tomorrow what does it look like?" He starts running the hot iron through my clothes
"Thank you" I smile before getting back to my packing

Once he had ironed my clothes and hung them on a hanger neatly, he sat back down
"What time do you have to leave after your party tomorrow?" He asks putting his glasses back on
"Latest 11 o'clock in the evening I have to wrap up the party" I reply
"When will you come back then?"
"Possibly Friday or the weekend" I reply realising it might be a long time for him
"Sick" he comments before lying down on my bed and staring at the ceiling

After a couple of minutes he sighs really loudly. I look up at him raising an eyebrow.
"What's up with you?" I ask shoving the last piece of clothes into my suitcase
"You're going to a wedding" he states and I chuckle
"Yeah and?" I sit on top of my suitcase to zip it up
"So all these asian aunties are gonna try and get you married to their sons yeah?" He asks, sort of in a way where he expects me to confirm that it's going to happen
"Who said that?" I ask pushing my hair into my hijab before sitting my suitcase upright against my bed

I reach over and pull his arm so he's sitting up now
"Nah I'm just wondering" he shrugs
I sit down next to him with our knees touching
"I only have eyes for you, no ones going to get me married to anyone" I assure him and he puts his head down and just hums in acknowledgement
"You cut your hair" I mumble playing with his curls and he nods his head
"Say promise?" He asks putting his head up again
"I promise" I smile

I shove the last of my bags that I need for the weekend into my car before getting into the driver's seat. I quickly reply to Alice's message making sure to tell her I'm on my way to the venue before driving off.

I walk into the building to see that the majority of the decorations are up, all that's left is to bring the clothes and food in.
"Giiiiiiirl I love your outfit" Alice comments when I see her walk in through the back door
"I love yourrsssss" I reply hugging her and smile at Jason and Farhan

Alice gives me a little eyebrow wiggle and I narrow my eyes in confusion before following her eyes to a certain someone stood behind me
"Excuse me" I whisper quietly before walking over to him
"Hi, you didn't have to come so early you know" I greet and he nods holding his hands out for me to hold
"I'm here to help" he smiles with his dimples and I blush, "I have something for you too"

He reaches into the pocket of his jacket and pulls out a small brown bag. I open it to reveal a small sunshine keyring that reads, you are my sunshine
"It's for your car keys" he smiles
"Thank you" I smile gratefully and he nods

The food and clothes get brought in and not long later, a whole load of people start coming in and by 6 o'clock, the room is full
I walk around greeting so many people, most of who I didn't even expect to come like Dina Tokio and Habiba Da Silva

Harris was on the stage a couple times, singing, to add to the atmosphere but soon enough it was time for my little speech which I was nervous about.
Harris handed me the microphone and I gave him a wobbly smile before making my way into the middle of the stage

"Hi, Good Evening everyone!" I said to get their attention and they all started clapping
"First of all I want to thank you all for taking the time out to come and celebrate this with me. I also want to thank Farhan, Alice and Jason because I would literally be no where without them. I'm just going to keep this short and sweet, I really hope you love the pieces as much as I do I genuinely feel like there's something for everyone in there so feel free to have a look around and also don't forget there's food on the right hand side and please don't leave without a party favour. Thank You"

I step to the side and watch everyone's reactions to my pieces hoping they all found at least one favourite piece.
"You've done amazing" Harris comments as he approaches me and I sigh
"It means so much thank you" I say and he smiles

Slowly the time gets closer to 11pm and by 10.20pm, everyone has left, leaving just me, Harris, Alice, Jason and Farhan
I'm busy swiping the floor when I notice Harris talking with Farhan which is a little weird because I didn't know they were friends.
"Look you should leave, we'll help clean up here" Farhan says as he approaches me
"No it's alright I don't have to leave for another 40 minutes yet" I reply putting the mop to the side to pick up the rubbish off the table
"It's already late and it won't be safe for you to be on the road so just leave, we've got this" he reassured me
I contemplate whether or not that would be fair but judging by the look he's giving me I don't think I have a say in this
"Ugh, fine I'll see you once I get back, thank you" I give in and go to get my bag from the stage side

"Are you leaving?" Harris asks and I nod my head
"I'll walk you out"

Once we get to my car door I turn around and smile at him
"I know it was you who told Farhan to let me go"
He smiles slightly and looks down at his shoes before looking back at me
"I just don't want you on the road too late" he replies and my heart flutters
I clear my throat, "I'll see you erm.. next week"

He opens his arms for a hug and I gladly oblige, taking in his musky smell which also somehow smells warm.
"I'll miss you" he mumbles
"I'll miss you too" I stroke the back of his neck before pulling away and getting into my car
