"All done?" I ask as Adam and Slim get into the car
"Yeah let's gooooo" Slims replies
"Where we going?" Adam asks
"Shopping" I mumble
"Did she say shopping?" Slim asks and I cringe
"You are not allowed to spend any more money on useless things, we're not going shopping" Adam gives me a stern look and I sigh hopelessly for dramatic effect
"I need to do some retail therapy" I say turning around to them both with puppy dog eyes once we reach a red light

"Slim she's being dramatic don't listen to her" Adam warns whilst I bat my eyes lashes at him
"No Zara we ca-" I bat my eyelashes harder, "...fucks sake Adam can we just let her"
He gives up and I smile victoriously turning my eyes back to the road just in time for the lights to turn green

"What do you even need you're always shopping?" Adam asks
"You sound like my dad now, it's not about what I need it's about what I want"
"What do you want?" They both ask at the same time
"I want some new heels"
"As if you don't have enough of them" Adam rolls his eyes
"Shut up otherwise I'll leave you at the side of the road" I say and Slim snorts
"I'll just ask Harris to come pick me up" Adam retorts and my breathing hitches
"Bro..." Slim starts
"Shit too soon?" Adam cringes
"Yes, way too fucking soon" I bite back and he shuts up

The rest of the car ride, no one speaks

"Can I get them for you?" Adam pleads for the tenth time
"Why?" I ask
"I wanna say sorry, I was rude before" he explains
"Adam I don't even care about that, just shut up and help me choose which ones" I shove both my feet forward, each with a different heel on
"Hmmmm" he taps his chin, "the ones on the right"
I tilt my head to the side, "really?"
"Okay the ones on the left then" he sighs and I smile
"Yeah that's what I was thinking" I reply and he rolls his eyes

"I think we should go eat now" Slim comes around the corner looking defeated
"We've been to like 10 shops" I say laughing at the tired look on his face
"My point exactly" he deadpans
"Jheez okay let me go pay and then we'll look for somewhere to eat" I say slipping my vans back on

"So where shall we eat?" I ask as we walk out the shop after paying
"You live here, you tell us" Adam says
"Okay well I know a place that's just opened?" I suggest
"Yeah, don't mind" Adam replies
"Slim?" I ask and he nods his head

I feel my phone buzzing in my bag and when I check who it is, it's my "new friend" Adil.

Adil💯 - Hey x
Zara🌻 - oh hi
Adil💯 - wyd x
Zara🌻 - I am out shopping with my friends
Adil💯 - cool, I'm about to go to work x
Zara🌻 - where do you work
Adil💯 - a restaurant x

I cringe at this dead conversation and decide to air him because this conversation is going nowhere
We pull up at the restaurant and go stand in line for a table.

"Good afternoon, table for how many?" I hear a voice once we get to the front of the queue
"Erm three..." my voice trails off when I make eye contact with Adil
"Hey" he flashes a cheesy smile and I smile back uneasily
"Hi"

"Give me a minute I'll be back" he says and Adam nods
"You know this guy?" Slim asks once he's gone
"Not really"
"Yes you do" Adam replies trying to get some thing out of me
"Be quiet" I dismiss the conversation and surprisingly they leave it

Adil comes back and shows us to our table and hands us out menus before leaving us to decide on our food.

"What are you guys going to get?" I ask starting a conversation
"Lamb steak burger and peri chips, now who was that guy?" Adam asks and I sigh slumping my shoulders
"He's no one!" I whinge, "can you just leave it?"
"Are you together?" Slim asks and I roll my eyes
"We just know each other okay?" I huff
"How do you know each other?" Adam pesters
"Oh fuck off Adam" I say opening my menu and ignoring them

"Are you ready to order?" Adil comes a few minutes later and I look up and nod
"Erm, can I have the steak and chips with mash and a coke" I say and he nods his head writing it down
As he takes Slim and Adam's orders down I accidentally end up staring at him like a creep

His cheekbones aren't fully defined but you can see his jawline through his beard. His eyes are a hazel colour and his resting face looks a little constipated but in a cute way. He is definitely over 6 foot which is a cherry on top

"I'll be back with your food once it's ready" he turns to look at me a catches me staring
I whip my head to the side to pretend I'm looking somewhere else but the smirk on his face tells me he's already seen me.

He walks away with so much confidence and I feel my face burning up in embarrassment.
"What was that?" Adam asks and I roll my eyes
"Zara just tell us who he is, it's not that big of a deal!" Slim argues and I sigh

"He came to me when I was sat in my car waiting for you earlier on today and he told me he thought I was cute and asked for me snapchat. That's it" I shrug
"You only met him today?" Slim asks in a judgemental tone and I huff
"This is wh-"

Adam interrupts me, "We're not saying anything just be careful, you and Harris only just ended things"
"We ended it months ago" I reply
"You know what I mean" he says giving me a knowing look

I sigh inwardly and catch Adil staring at me from far. He gives me a cheeky wink and I feel a little something in my stomach I haven't felt in a while.

Oh god.

I might not be so active on publishing chapters (not that I am anyways lol) because I got a part time job to save up for uni and it's killing me😭 also my broken heart is all over the place and I'm gonna include how my heart got broken by the new guy in this book I hope you all end up hating him like I hate him :)))))) although I didn't meet him like this
