Three weeks later

"When are you going to be ready?" Alice asks over the phone
"Give me twenty minutes and I'll be at the studio" I say tying the last part of my hijab down
"Alright see you later then" she says before putting the phone down

I have one week left to my birthday and today I get to see the mass production of my nail polishes which have fifteen matte shades.

But right now I am running late

I slip my heels on and look at my outfit to double check it.
I was wearing a pair of black jeans rolled up slightly so you could see my heels and their strap. I had a pink Adidas T-shirt on and my makeup was simple, with a hint of pink on my eyes.

Once I get to the studio, Farhan drives us all to the factory with Jason and Alice in the back whinging about how late I was.
"Zara's here" I hear Uncle Muhammad call and I smile

We've got quite close over these three weeks, he's like an uncle to me

"Are you ready to see what you've made?" He asks and I nod my head excitedly
He takes us over to the back where there hundreds of nail polish bottles. I pick my favourite colour which was the deep burgundy and I had named it 'Velvet'

"This one is one of my favourites" I say admiring the bottle
My bottles were designed with easy screw on lids. The whole bottle was matte and the colour of the bottle corresponded with the colour of the polish inside.
The rim of the lid was lined with rose gold and so was the hem. The name of the shade was written in rose gold also, on the bottle along with the name of my line: 'Alhamdullilah' written in Arabic

"I love them" I say feeling so proud and lucky that I was able to do this
"So can we box these off and send them to Jason's studio?" He asks and I nod my head
"Yeah I say we can" I say smiling wildly

He nods his head and calls his worker over once I put the bottle back into the crate
"Congrats" Farhan says and I smile
"Thanks but I couldn't have done it without you" I nod my head
"You couldn't have done it without Jason!" Alice pipes in and I smile uneasily

Girl you're coming across desperate and I'm pretty sure that's not what you were hoping for

"I couldn't have done it without any of you so thank you" I say modifying my previous sentence
"So we'll have it all delivered to you in two days" he explains when he's done talking and we all nod our heads

We say our goodbyes and get into Farhan's car,
"Celebratory McDonalds?" Alice suggests and we all nod our heads
Farhan drives us there and we order two Big Macs and two Fish-O-Fillets with curry sauce and eat in the car

"Have you always wanted to do this?" Alice asks and I shake my head
"I wanted to be a doctor when I was younger and being part of a Pakistani family they were really happy about that but once I started doing A Level science it put me off and I started making videos, I enjoy it more" I explain
"How did you start loving makeup though?" Farhan asks shoving two fries down his gob
"I used to be alone a lot because I wasn't very social and I have no sisters so I watched YouTube a lot" I explain

Once we had ate, we began discussing the launch party that would take place on the same day as my birthday so, double celebrations
"Do you have anyone special to add to the list?" Jason asks, typing away on his laptop as always

Yes he uses it in the car

"Well obviously Adam and the rest of the guys" I begin
"The guys?" Alice asks asking for more detail
"Adam, Slim, Harris, Naz and maybe Zack?"
"Harris? Who's Harris?"
"Erm he's just this guy I saw at the awards he was wearing that velvet blazer and he came with Naz?" I explain slightly nervously which I have no idea why

"So Adam's friend?" Jason confirms
"Yes but give him a separate invite" I say unlocking my phone with my thumbprint

I scroll through my Instagram reading some comments on my recent post.
I swap over to my profile page and see a new mutual follower

I tap on his profile and look at his followers

Followed by adamsaleh

Ugh if he thinks I'm gonna follow him then he is totally wrong. I'm not even friends with Harris so why would I follow him??

"Okay so I think the official guest list is done, now we have the chance to call one special special guest" Jason says
"Special special?" I ask wondering why he repeated it
"Yeah so someone really big" Alice says whipping out her contacts

"Who do we want?" She asks
"Shay Mitchell?" Farhan suggests and I shake my head
"Perrie Edwards?" Jason suggest and I shake my head again
"I want someone that's not as big" I say and they look at me confusingly

"They'll be more relatable trust me" I say smiling, "I'm gonna contact Umi Zarin off Instagram and see if she wants to do it"

As I take my phone out to DM her, I get an Instagram notification,
