INDEED  ALLAH  NEVER  FAILS  HIS  PROMISES

Right now I'm so stressed. It's twelve o'clock and I've still not chosen an outfit and I need to be ready in two hours. But do you know how quick two hours will fly by?

I need to look good because this is the first time me and Harris are going to be alone!
It's a nice day outside but I don't want to wear a dress because it's too dressy for a cinema, but I have no idea what top to wear!

After several minutes and maybe a slight breakdown later, I find a solution to my outfit issue.
I take out five random blouses and use google to randomly choose one for me.
When it comes down to it, you have to think quick.

Eventually my outfit ends up being a pair of black jeans, a white bell sleeve blouse, a mix of coffee and stone coloured hijab and a pair of black flats. I decide to go simple with the makeup and accessorise with a watch and cuff.

Just as I'm nearly done I get a text;

Harris: hey I'm outside your building

Me: I'm on my way

I grab my bag, spray a little perfume on myself before making my way down to his car. Once I get out of the building I spot his car and slowly start to make my way over there.

I'm just so nervous because I've never done this before and I don't know how to act.

As I approach his car, he gets out and holds the passenger door open for me and I internally squeal. He's such a gentleman!

"Thank you" I smile and he nods his head in acknowledgment
Once we start driving he starts up a conversation,

"Are you looking forward to the movie?"
"I actually am, you know I was watching the trailer and I think the guy who plays Aladdin is so attractive" I reply only realising afterwards that might have been too far
"Well, fair enough, I personally think he's not all that" he says cheekily and I fake gasp in shock

He chuckles and we make brief eye contact before I break it.
"Do you wanna listen to some music?" He asks switching on his phone
"I would love to" I smile

"Can I get two tickets to Aladdin please?" Harris says once we reach the counter after waiting in the long line
"Hey I thought we were paying separately?" I inquire
"You really think I'm gonna let you pay?" He raises an eyebrow before ordering snacks

We get our tickets checked before making our way to the screening room.
"Ladies first" he makes way for me and I slide through the seats and sit in the corner
"Thank you" I smile, "you're such a gentleman"
"I do try" he hands me my drink

The movie has finished and we're back in his car.
"How was the movie then?" He asks
"I loved it what about you?"
"I have to say it was a good movie" he replies and I smile
"So, are you up for a dessert?" He asks and I nod my head in reply before putting some music on

We reach Kaspas and take a seat in a booth. I'm just busy texting on my phone but I can feel Harris's eyes on me so I look up at him
"What would you like to eat?" He asks trying to brush away the fact that he was staring at me

"Erm I would love a Bueno Waffle please" i reply and he smiles before going to order

While I'm waiting for him to come back I get a text from Adam

Adam🤡: how's the date going

Me: what date?

Adam🤡: your date with Harris??

Me: oh you mean my day out with Harris (not a date)

Adam🤡: if he's paying it's date, I don't make the rules🤷🏻‍♂️

Me: our day out has been good so far

Adam🤡: can we expect babies anytime soon?

Me: no x

"Hey" he slips back into the booth and I smile at him
"Can I ask you a question?" I inquire
"Go ahead"

He looks at my intently waiting for me to ask him whatever I want to ask him
"Why did you want to take me out?"

I instantly regret asking the question. He takes a couple of seconds to think about what I just asked him
"Actually don't answer that question, you don't have to" I say trying to make it less awkward for myself

"Nah let me be honest" he says putting his hands on the table
I look at him, waiting to hear what he has to say

"I'm not gonna lie to you, when I first met you I thought you were interesting and I wanted to get to know you and I think offering to take you out was the better way to do that" he explains and I nod my head

"Oh" I simply say

I don't even know how to respond to that

"Not to mention that you're also quite cute too" he smiles and I blush

Wooooow okay I never blush

Our food arrives and Harris dives in but I don't and he looks at me in confusion.
"Did I get your order wrong?" He asks and I shake my head
"Would you mind taking a picture for my Instagram?" Unsure about whether he's going to agree or not
"You could've just said" he smiles taking his phone out of his pocket

I start posing for the pictures but I feel really awkward posing in front of him.
"Hey by the way" he saw mid photo, "did you notice that worker looks like Shah Rukh Khan?"

Is he kidding?

I look at the worker he was talking about and he actually does look like him
"I thought you were chatting shit! He actually does look like him" I look at Harris laughing

"More pictures?" He asks and I nod my head
After that little joke, I loosened up so the pictures went really well

"I'll walk you to your apartment" he offers and helps me out of the car
"Thank you" I smile

We walk in a peaceful silence up to my apartment and I turn to him once we reach my door,
"I just want to say thank you for today"

"Don't worry about it" he smiles
We just stand there looking into each other's eyes for a good minute before he breaks the silence
"Do you mind if I ask for a hug?"

He wants to hug me?
Like, put his arms around me?

"Go for it" I smile shyly
He wraps his arms around my waist and I wrap mine around his neck. We kind of just melt into each other and I swear there's nothing I would rather be doing right now.
I take in his scent, he smells like warm vanilla with a hint of citrus.
The only thing going through my head right now is, can I take him home!?

We pull apart and I smile at him before entering my apartment with the biggest smile on my face.
