For some utter reason, the Shinsengumi Chief had convinced yourself and his fellow friends to help him stand outside a local game store to await the newest release of the Owee. The Shinsengumi trio, Yamazaki and yourself weren't exactly far away form the entrance of the store - so there may be a chance that you'd be able to snag a console.
A sudden thought came to mind. "Why... Why am I here anyway? I don't necessarily need an Owee. Argh, I've been here too long to back out now."
"[name]-san, it's cold out. Would you like my scarf?" Yamazaki politely offered, already wrapping it around your neck.
"Oh- Thank you, Yamazaki-san. Although, you look colder than me. Are you sure you don't want it back?"
"Don't worry about it. I've been practicing my swings all night so I'm quite warmed up!"
"I... I see. Even here, you're playing badminton."
"I'm very sorry, sirs..." A worker had approached the boys behind you. "Your bath is bothering the other customers..."
When you turned around, you realised that Sougo was sitting in a heated bath with a fire underneath the large bucket he was in. Along with Kondo who was only in a loincloth washing his hair with soap he got from who knows where. "What of it? We've been in line all night," Sougo remarked. "We should be able to take a bath."
"Because taking a bath in the middle of a long line makes sense?!"
"Stop, Sougo," Kondo stated. "Sorry, I'll be finished soon. I still haven't washed myself down there, yet..."
"No, I'm going to call the police," the worker attempted to push the portable bath out of the way, but Kondo stood up and pushed it back.
"No, we are the police."
"I said, I'm calling the police..." They went back and forth, moving the bath along with their movements causing the hot water to splatter out of it.
"I said we're... [name]-san! Help us!"
"No can do. Besides, what do you want me to do?!"
"Well then... Just a moment!" Kondo shouted, "I still haven't washed myself down there yet!!"
"You two are an embarrassment!" You were about to kick them over, but Hijikata had done it for you; the two men went rolling down the street.
"Honestly... Damn them," you took a glance behind you to see where the two had gone, but they weren't in sight. However, you did spot a naturally wavy haired bastard - and it seemed like the man beside you did as well.
Yourself and Hijikata then walked up to the Yorozuya trio who were also in the line, sitting under a kotatsu. "What are you doing here?" Hijikata inquired.
"I'm batting that question right back at you," Gintoki replied.
"I'm batting that question right back at you."
"I'm batting..."
Shinpachi spoke, "Enough. It's getting annoying."
A familiar trio then speed-walked past you all. "Ugh... cold, cold, cold, cold, cold... Oh, a kotatsu," Sougo and Kondo had joined the Yorozuya. "Let us in for a second."
"Hey! Don't come in without permission!!" Kagura complained.
"Don't be so stingy!! It's not a big deal!!"
"I'll join too, if that's okay with you... Kagura?"
"You're always welcome, [name]-nee!" Hijikata also joined and sat beside you.
