A few minutes of sneaking around didn't do you any good. There was nobody around - other than the loud screams and shouts you heard that was presumably across the building you were in, there was really nothing. "Geez... Where is everyone?"
Everything suddenly went quiet, but then your phone vibrated. It was an email from a random number, but attached to the email was a picture of... Kagura smirking into the camera lens, asserting dominance, as she had a foot on top of Sougo and one of the men from the Yagyu family competing in this game. "K-Kagura?!"
"Oh, I remember seeing that happen," a shiver ran down your spine as an unknown voice whispered into your ear.
"What the-" Immediately turning around, there was nothing and no one in sight.
"You're really just a stupid woman, aren't you? I wonder why they allowed you to participate in this game of ours," you felt a finger poke the top of your head.
"Can you stop that?! Where are you, you stupid freak?" you grabbed your sword from your waist and stood in a stance.
"Over here," the man finally revealed himself-he was just outside the building you were in, sitting on the branch of a nearby tree.
You raised a brow in genuine confusion, "Who are you?"
"Wha- It's Teruhashi Kaito and don't you forget that!" the boy angrily shouted, triggered that you didn't remember his name. "The audacity of some people..." he murmured.
"Well sorry. It's not like I'm going to remember a side character like you."
"You- You-" he was on the brink of tears.
"He was so confident before... Is he that egotistical that one person not knowing his name will make him go into an... emo mode? Even his hair drooped down. Anyway, onto more important things. Where's his plate?" you eyed his figure up and down, searching for the small plate. He seemed to have noticed and smirked.
"Have I finally caught your attention?" Within a matter of a few milliseconds, he had moved from his spot from the tree to, right in front of you. It was a surprise to you at how tall he actually was until he was hovering above you.
Jumping back, you noticed a shine from his side - and there behold the plate. "If I just kick him in his side, the plate will break for sure. Now to think of a plan to do that."
He laughed, "Don't even think above trying to-" Before he could even finish his sentence, your fist met with his face and he flung forward.
"Are you taking me seriously, Kokomi- Wait, wrong Teruhashi."
"Don't hit me when I'm trying to talk! It's rude."
"So this dude is a mix of a narcissist and a crybaby..."
Teruhashi looked at you with more confusion, "Okay. You want seriousness? I'll give you serious."'
"Oh... Here comes the redemption arc."
Kaito had taken in a deep breath and his eyes went dark; he then disappeared in front of you and appeared behind you-just by instinct alone, you had sensed a presence and jumped forward, barely dodging an incoming kick. "So you aren't just a stupid woman."
"Of course not. You're just a misogynist."
"I assure you I respect women every single day of my life. I just judged too quickly."
You retaliated as he spoke and swung your sword in multiple directions in hopes of hitting him at least once, but to no avail-he continued to dodge. "A sword isn't going to work in this situation," you placed your blade back into its sheath and held your fists up.
