It was the late morning when the Yorozuya phone decided to ring. It wasn't at all unusual for the business to have phone calls, but this was the first one within two days! Usually, it's only be one a week.

"I've got it!" Kagura picked up the ringing telephone, "Hello? Yorozuya... Who are you? Is that you, Gin-chan? ...Finish her off and run away... Seriously?" she gasped and put the phone back to its original spot. Without another word from her mouth, she ran straight to the exit of the house and slammed the door closed.

"Kagura! Hey!" you tried to run after her but she was already out the door, "Where are you going?!" Of course she didn't turn back to answer your question.

Soon after, the toilet was heard flushing itself and Gintoki appeared from the bathroom, "That hurt. I wiped too hard. Man, we've got to get a bidet. Huh? Did somebody just leave?"

"Yeah," Shinpachi replied, "That was Kagura-chan. She went rushing out in a panic after taking a call."

"What's that about?" Gintoki stole your seat on the couch and placed his arms behind his head as if he didn't have a care in the world. You pushed him over so you could sit beside him.

"Must've been a call from her home. Maybe they want her to return," Shinpachi murmured.

"That'd be great. It'd be a lot quieter around here."

"Hey, you two! That's not a very funny joke. We all know that we'd miss her if she were gone."

"More importantly... Gin-san, you gotta check this out," Shinpachi pointed towards the television.

"The 'It's Me' con artist?"

"It's a new scam where the con artist calls on the phone without saying their name, just saying 'It's me' and letting you assume it's someone you know. Then they say they're in trouble and need you to wire money to them," you explained.

"I wouldn't deposit money no matter who was in trouble. Remember that, Shinpachi. The only one who'd fall for that is some stupid girl with Amazonian strength." The three of your froze for a moment to think about what had just occurred within the past five minutes. You ended up speed-walking out of the building towards the nearby bank.

Once the bank had come into your line of sight, you realised that there was a huge commotion around the building. A large crowd was surrounding the entrance and you could hear occasional gasps and screams be let out. "Testing, testing..." A man said through a megaphone, "This is a message for the robber! You are completely surrounded. Come out peacefully."

Gintoki put a hand to his face, "We're too late."

"What? You don't mean that Kagura-chan did this? Kagura is responsible?"

"That's right. She was tricked by the 'It's Me' scam and tried to deposit money. But, of course, she doesn't have any money. And that's what led to this violent act."

"Have some faith in Kagura. I don't think she'd be able to cause something as big as this," you told him, "But, if she's actually responsible, what should we do? What exactly can we do?"

Gintoki walked towards the bank, "This is a message for the robber..."

"Hey, what're you people doing?!" a man yelled.

"I don't think I can beat her, but if I don't try to stop her, who will? If her family were here, they'd do the same."

"Shinpachi, let's go," you motioned for him to follow you.

"Yes!"

Now, the three of you were in line facing the door and it opened automatically, "Kagura-" Inside, a lifeless looking man was choking her with his hand; but there was something slimy and purple that came from his mouth. The man turned to you with his empty eyes, "Our mistake..." The three of you stepped back and the door closed.
