Kagura was tumbling and turning on the floor with Sadaharu imitating her actions. She was patiently waiting for someone to show up, but they haven't even given her a call yet! She was getting just a bit too restless. "Gin-chan! [name]-nee isn't here yet," she whined. "We were supposed to take Sadaharu on a walk together. Where is she?"
"I'm not her babysitter, so how should I know?" he flicked his booger onto the floor. "Besides, with your monster strength I don't even know why you would need her help."
"I made sure to remind her everyday this week. She said she was gonna come an hour ago. Do you think something happened to her?"
Shinpachi chimed in, "Kagura-chan, it's [name]-san we're talking about. She'll be just fine."
"I guess so..."
---
You weren't sure if Kagura was going to forgive you for this little mishap of yours. You weren't going to explicitly tell her what happened yesterday, but hopefully she'd understand. "Sorry, Kagura," you apologised. "I was a bit busy with... the Shinsengumi so I wasn't able to come over. Please forgive me?" you put your hands in a praying position.
"I forgive you, [name]-nee. You can always give me a call if that happens again. I thought something had happened to you, but you were just with the tax robbers. I guess the latter is better." You shook your head at her words.
"We'll go out another time, alright? Anyway, is it getting hot in here? It's not even summer yet I can feel myself sweating."
"It's almost the cold season, [name]-nee! Why are you feeling warm?"
"Probably because I'm here," Gintoki casually walked out of the bathroom towards his desk. You scoffed at his lame words, "Hey! That was not the reaction I was going for," he then stopped to look over in your direction. "I know I'm hot and all, but why is your face actually all pink like that?"
"Gin-san! Kagura-chan!" the boy with glasses interrupted. "What did you two do to the kitchen?! There's flour everywhere, broken plates are on the floor and where's all the cutlery?!"
"Ehh?" Kagura exclaimed, "What nonsense are you spitting out? We didn't do anything."
"Oi! Don't lie right to my face!" Shinpachi yelled. "Tsk. Now I have to be the one to clean it all up..."
You headed into the kitchen and looked around-Shinpachi was right, it was such a horrible mess. Only those two would have the ability to cause such chaos and disarray. "I don't mind helping you clean up. I feel like I've already gotten used to cleaning up after those two."
"Thanks, [name]-san! But I feel like we shouldn't get used to this... They're going to get too used to it." The boy brought in all the supplies needed and handed you a damp cloth, "I'll start on the flour... you can, do whatever?"
You just chuckled, "Sure. Next time, we'll force those two to clean."
"Yeah!" Shinpachi cheered, nodding at your suggestion. He then got to work and turned his back on you.
As you were wiping the surfaces of the kitchen, you couldn't help but mentally badmouth the two stooges. "No, but seriously... How and why on Edo did these two create a good fight in here? They didn't even explain how it even started in the first place. Just thinking about it is making me have a headache."
"Say, [name]-san, about dinner plans for tonight-" Shinpachi's began to chat to you, but unfortunately, your ears couldn't hear or even register what he was saying. Your head was ringing bells. You furrowed your eyebrows and held onto the nearest table to keep yourself steady. "Um- [name]-san, are you listening?"
