Edo hadn't been this cold in ages. Well, to be fair, this sudden winter's day came out of nowhere. For some reason, the entire town had become freezing because of this peculiar weather. You weren't sure if it was worth being outside building snow castles right now.
"It's freezing out here," you shivered in your ten layers of clothing. You were covered from head to toe, yet the wind found its way to still give you the chills. "Did Zura really need me to be here right now?" you asked yourself aloud, hoping that the man himself would be able to here your complaint.
Yourself and your friends-including Elizabeth-were in a local park building a playground slide out of snow. The Kabukicho community was holding a snow-building contest and Katsura thought it would be a good idea to sign up as a trio to win a prize. It was almost scary seeing how passionate he was about making this.
"Zura, I finished the stairs," you pat the final step. "How's the slide going?"
"I just finished my side. Let's go look at the other competitors and see if we can blow up their creations," his lack of care for other people was appalling. But then again, he is a terrorist. "Elizabeth, you stay here and protect ours!"
Katsura dragged you around the park, trying to see if there was anything that was better than the slide you two had made. You then stopped him when you noticed some familiar faces off to the side. "Shinpachi!" you waved, "And Kagura too!"
"I'm here too!" Gintoki raised his arm to get your attention.
"Katsura-san and [name]-san? You guys are here as well! What a surprise."
You smiled at Shinpachi and looked beside him, "Is this what you guys have been making?" The young boy cringed, but nodded. "It's a Neo Armstrong cyclone Jet Armstrong Cannon, right? It's a nice replica, even though it's made of snow. However, it'll look better if you made it longer."
"Like mine?" Gintoki coughed into his fist, covering up what he just said.
"Oh, how did you know?" Shinpachi sarcastically asked, a deadpan expression on his face. Apparently knowing what this cannon was, was a normal thing around here. Until today, he had no idea what the heck a Cyclone Armstrong Cannon was.
"Another name for it is Running Thunder. It caused The Seven Days of Fire during the Balkans Campaign," Katsura added-even though it wasn't necessary.
"That's not the story I heard."
Kagura jumped up from her spot and ran up to you, "What are you two doing here anyway? Want to join, [name]-nee?"
"Zura and I are participating with our own thing with Elizabeth too," you then led the group towards the creation-the Elizabeth slide.
"Wow! Great! It's like an amusement park!" Shinpachi shouted in excitement.
"Something like this should be fun for children. I hope you guys like it," Katsura said.
Kagura dug her snow boots into the slide and began to climb it with her skis. "Kagura, that's not-" she turned around to give you a thumbs up. She was not listening to you at all.
"This is a slide!" Katsura shouted, attempting to stop Kagura from messing around. But being the energetic girl she was, she slid down with those skis. "Don't slide with those on!"
Gintoki climbed onto the slide's head with ice picks, "Hey, Zura, where're the stairs?"
"What are you guys, mountain goats?! And you were just on the stairs, fool!"
"Geez, the slide is all scratched up. I'll smooth it out," Katsura climbed up the slope, but once he looked up, Gintoki and Kagura were coming down. If he hadn't of jumped up they would've crashed into him. "I know, you're trying to ruin my work so that you can win the grand prize!" he landed back on the slide. "I won't let you win that easily!" It then broke into pieces, causing him to fall.
