You were happy that the Yorozuya actually invited you down to Yoshiwara for a job. The only time where you'd actually get to see Tsukuyo, Hinowa and Seita was when they'd have something to actually do down in Yoshiwara—which wasn't very often. Since this job offer came from Hinowa herself, you immediately agreed to come help.
And so, here you four were in front of Hinowa's store, "Hey, it been a while," Tsukuyo greeted.
"Tsukuyo! It's nice to see you again," you waved, in which she just gave you a small smile in response.
"Sheesh, still looking as dull as ever," Gintoki remarked.
"And you still look as much like a burnt field as ever."
"Hey! What's that supposed to mean?!" he raised a brow and looked down on her, "You'd better not be talking about my hair!"
"Come on, it's been a while since we last met," Shinpachi tried to break up the tension, "Could you two please stop fighting?"
"Now that everyone's here, we can have a blast!" Seita happily exclaimed.
"We're here to 'have a blast', Hinowa-san?" you questioned. You didn't get an overview of what the job was about, but you assumed it wasn't to have fun here.
"Sorry, Seita," Hinowa apologised, she didn't want her son listening in on this conversation, "Could you wait outside for a moment?"
The boy whined, "Wait! Hold on! I haven't even been in a close-up shot yet! That's all the chapter time I get?!"
"You should be glad that everyone was able to see you so happy," Kagura told him.
"No way!" Although frustrated, he listened to Hinowa and headed towards the back of the shop. But before he left, he muttered, "You've crossed the line here, Mom."
Hinowa smiled in his direction and waited until Seita was out of sight before she spoke once again, "You see, what I wanted to talk to you guys about..."
"Hey, I didn't come here for work," Gintoki almost immediately intervened.
"...Wait, I thought we came here for a job?" you scratched the back of your head.
"Pretty please? Saviour of Yoshiwara?" she pleaded. The leader of the Yorozuya of course, had to listen in after being persuaded with the bribe of a few coins and some praise.
The four of you sat down on the wooden chairs as you listened to her speak. Hinowa had explained that there had been a lot of drug deals happening around Yoshiwara. Their main suspect as of the moment is a man named Fujinosuke Hashiba.
With some quick thinking and planning, you all decided to split into three groups. Kagura and Shinpachi were going to search around the north of Yoshiwara and you were going by yourself and searching south.
Tsukuyo had already been informed of this mission a few days ago, so she currently had more leads and information on the guy—so, both her and Gintoki were going to check out what she investigated.
"By myself, again!" you groaned out, "Always me! Why did Gintoki get to go with Tsukuyo?! I should've gone with her!"
。。。
Searching didn't take that long for you, even if you were a one-man team. Yoshiwara was now filled with nice people, you assumed it was because they had access to the sun. Anyway, back on topic—the people in the south genuinely had no clue who the guy was. Maybe he had another alias he went as?
Without anything in hand, you arrived back at Hinowa's place, finding her in the kitchen preparing dinner with Seita,"[name]-nee! You're back!"
"Yo, Seita! Hinowa!"
