I wake up, but my eyes keep closed.
I could tell it was morning, considering it was brighter.
But I really didn't want to move.
I could stay here all day, if I wanted to.
I mean, what is there to do in a cave anyways?
I'd have to get up at some point, though.
Not yet though.I know Loki's still sleeping, considering he didn't move at all.
Obviously he was breathing, though.
If he wasn't, I'd be a bit concerned.
But I'm not that concerned since he's not dead.I peek open one eye, and the light comes shining through the cave.
I hate when I wake up, and it's extremely bright.
Especially when you just want to go back to sleep, but then you can't since it's too bright.
I check, and surely, Loki is still sleeping.
So, I decided, I wouldn't move until he woke up...
So I don't wake him up, that is.
I don't know how long it'd be till he woke up. He'd probably wake up soon , though, considering it was bright enough for me to wake up.
I mean, I didn't usually wake up when the sun has fully risen anyways.
So it was weird.
..About 15 minutes go by, and he still hasn't woken up.
And I'm getting a bit concerned.
Well, not concerned.
Just confused as to why he won't wake up.
And I didn't want to move, because then I'd be waking him up.
He has to wake up on his own or else I'll feel bad for waking him.
It's just how it works.
So, I just continued to hug Loki, as he hugged me in his sleep.
How does one hug someone in their sleep, anyways?
If I was hugging someone before I fell asleep, my arms would surely fall to my side.
I think, at least.
It's not like I've ever fell asleep hugging someone before.
In a cave.
Who knows, though. Maybe I did!
It's not like I would remember.
..
I realized just now that I still had Loki's snake, Frigga, in my hand.
I don't know why he gave it to me to hold.
And I mean this in the nicest way possible, but it's just a stuffed animal.
But then again, so is my lost sock monkey.
And I really wanted my sock monkey back.
Because it's the only thing I have left of my family.
...I'm still waiting for Loki to wake up.
Still.
I could just get up.
And wake him up.
I mean, it was probably, at least, 8:45.
But who knows, really?
I don't exactly have a wrist watch.
And even if I did, I can't even see my wrist right now.I decide to relax, and let him sleep.
Maybe I should go back to sleep, too.
I mean, I guess I could sleep the whole day away.
I rarely got this kind of comfort anyways.
I could just stay here, for now.
But just as I'm about to try and sleep again, Loki jumps, startled by something.
It clearly wasn't a noise, for I would have heard it.
As he jumps, startled, I sit up.
But he's still hugging me so I don't really know what else to do.
"What's wrong?" I ask him.
He looks like he forgot where he was for a moment.
He faces me, and sighs, remembering he wasn't alone.
"Nothing." He answers.
He leans his head against the cave, and takes deep breaths.
I'm going to assume it was a nightmare of some sort.
But I didn't know what it was about.
"Are you sure?" I ask.
He nods.
It was clear that something was bothering him, but I guess he doesn't like opening up.
To be fair, neither do I.
Especially when it comes to dreams.
Nightmares, to be exact.
I wasn't going to bother him more by continuing to ask about it, though.
If he wanted to say what it was about, he would.Loki soon realizes he was still hugging me, and let's go of me, "Sorry." He mutters quietly.
He slowly takes Frigga back, and hides it.
But I didn't even mind.
To be honest, I didn't want to stop being hugged.
I like hugs now.
I need hugs now.
If that make sense.
"It's fine." I mutter back.I look over to my side, and immediately panic.
Sam was gone.
The thunderstorm must've scared him away.
Damnit.
"Loki, Sam's gone." I say, standing up.
I look around the small cave, looking to see if he was still around.
But he wasn't.
"You want to look for him?" He assumes.
I nod.
He gets up, slowly, and walks over to me.
"Then let us go." He says, motioning to leave the cave.
He follows behind me as I do.
I didn't even know where to start looking. I mean, he was a cat. I can't exactly call for it, and it'll answer.
"Where do we look?" I ask Loki.
"You think I know?" He says, looking exhausted still.
He looked like he didn't even get much sleep.
Almost sleep deprived, I guess.
