For the next couple days, I didn't remember anything else. It was frustrating, really, because according to everyone, they're so sure that certain things would trigger memories. But if they're so sure, why isn't it working? Maybe I just need time for them to come back. Probably, not maybe. I thought I'd be remembering things in no time, I mean, I've remembered a few things the first night I came to this tower. But now, for the past few days, I've gotten nothing.
I'm sitting in the kitchen, just sitting and thinking. Nobody really came to the kitchen unless it was either breakfast, lunch, or dinner. And it's past lunch time. I would be in my room, but I didn't want to bother Loki. He's been more quiet and isolated in the closet every day. I don't think he came out of the closet at all these past couple days. I even had to bring him food, but most of the time, he wouldn't eat it. I was kind of worried about him, but I'm starting to think it's my fault. I mean, according to the memories that I do remember, he isn't this silent. But who knows, really?

Just as I was thinking about random things, the guy named Peter comes into the kitchen.
"Hey." He smiles.
"Hi." I say back.
He opens the fridge and just browsed the food and drinks inside it, "So.." he begins, "You remember anything else?"
"Nope." I mutter, as he takes out a bottle of juice.
"Sorry... I'm sure it'll come to you eventually." He says, trying to lighten up my mood.
Eventually.
When is eventually?
Eventually could be any time on any day. It could be a few days from now, a couple months from now, or years away.
"Yeah." I respond.
He comes to sit down next to me, and it's awkward as hell. What was I suppose to talk about, the weather? I mean, honestly. The weather isn't that interesting.
I notice he's about to take a sip of his juice, but he almost jumps a bit.
"Did you hear that?" He asks, for some reason, startled.
"Hear what?" I ask.
I literally heard nothing except the ticking of a clock, and the honking of horns from the streets.
I watch as he focuses on trying to hear something, "That." He says.
That. That. That. What is that? I don't hear anything.
"Dude, I'm not hearing anything."
"No, no. I- I definitely hear something." He says, standing up, to follow the sound.
"What the hell?" I mutter, standing up to follow him. He's either hearing things, or I'm not hearing enough things.
He walks up and down the hallway, turning when he takes a wrong turn, continuously. Until, eventually, we're in front of my room.
"It's coming from in here." He claims.
I sigh, "Go ahead in, then."
I don't even know what he's doing.
He opens the door, and there's nothing there. No sound, or anything. He walks to the middle of the room, and looks around.
"It's gone. The sound is gone." Peter says, narrowing his eyebrows. He looked confused.
"It was probably just Sam." I say, gesturing to him sitting on my bed.
"But that doesn't make any sense." He mutters to himself.
Okay, great. Clearly, nothing in here is wrong.
I walk over to the closet, about to open it, "Sorry to bother you Loki, but-..."
And I just stop. Mid-sentence.
He wasn't there anymore. Maybe he just left the room. Maybe it's nothing to be paranoid about. But I am.
"Hey, Pete?" I ask, standing in front of the closet.
"Yeah?" He asks.
"What did it sound like?"
"I dunno, it was weird. Almost like a cry for help. I must've been hearing things..."
Holy shit.
"No, I don't think you were hearing things. Look" I say, stepping aside for Peter to see inside the closet.
"What about the closet?" He asks.
"Loki's gone."
Peter's eyes widen, and he looks a bit panicked now.
"Maybe he just left the room?!" He suggests.
"He hasn't left it for the past few days, I doubt it."I tell him.
"Where could he have gone?"
"I think I know." I mutter.
"Where?"
"Well, not where. But I have an idea on who took him."
"Who?" He asks.
"Who do you think?!" I ask, a bit too loud.
There was only one option, really.
"Your dad?"
"Obviously!"
He puts his hands to his head, and paces around the room, panicked.
"But.. but wait. Doesn't Mr. Loki have that blue cube that could take him anywhere? He could escape wherever he is!"
I look deeper into the closet, and holy shit is it insane.
At the back of the closet, on the farthest side, it looks like a cube, the size of the tesseract, had melted its way through the floor.
I peek through the hole, and just stare down, at what seemed to be blue and glowing, as it just shrank from my sight. It kept going down.
"No, he doesn't. It's here." I say, gesturing for him to come over to see.
"Oh, God." He says, in full panic mode.
He must've dropped it, or been forced to drop it. Definitely forced to drop it.
"Hey, okay, don't panic. I'm sure we could find a way to get him back."
"Sarah, do you know what your father's like?" He asks, quickly after.
"Well, not exactly but-."
"Exactly. He's a terrible, terrible, person. Who knows what they could do to him?"
"But why would they want him?" I ask.
"Your guess is just as good as mine." He shrugs.
"We have to tell the others, now." I say, immediately leaving the room.
"Avengers! Get out here!" I shout, loudly.
Of course, nobody comes at first.
"NOW, God damnit!" I shout.
And soon, everybody comes out of the rooms they were in, and huddle around me.
"What do you want?" Tony asks.
"Yeah, what's so important?" Clint asks.
"Loki's gone." I tell them.
And everyone's face just falls and they go silent.
"Wait, so, where is he then, if not here?" Thor asks, concerned.
From what I've heard, Thor is Loki's brother. Loki's adopted, though. That's all I know or remember about them.
"You think if I knew.. I'd be telling you this?" I ask.
"Well, I don't know.." he mutters defensively, "Maybe."
Natasha elbows him in the stomach a bit, for some reason.
"Sorry." He mutters, quietly.
"How do you know he's gone?" Steve asks.
"I heard noise." Peter mentions.
"What kind of noises?" Tony asks.
"Like.. ones that scream 'I need help'..." He answers.
"Right."
"Plus, there's this." I say, gesturing for them to follow me into my room.
I bring them to the closet, and let Bruce examine it.
"That's definitely the tesseract down there. That's just going to keep going." Bruce mentions.
"Loki had the tesseract the whole time?!" Thor asks, a bit shocked.
"Not anymore." Bucky mutters, quietly.
"And you think your father took him?" Natasha asks.
"Well, who else would it be?" I ask her.
"Probably nobody. Nobody wants to kidnap him. Heck, they'd probably return him." Tony jokes.
"Tony, now is not the time to make jokes about this." Natasha mentions.
"I'm not joking, Romanoff." He retorts.
"Great, okay, great. So, where do we find him?" I ask.
"He could be at the same place you were, or in an abandoned building here in New York City." Bucky says.
"Okay, then let's start looking!" I exclaim.
"It's not that simple, Adams." Clint says.
"Yeah, it is. We beat that motherfucker's ass, and take Loki back."
"Language!" Steve says, pointing at me.
I roll my eyes. It's not that hard to just take him back, right? I mean, if we get that tesseract we could just teleport to him.
"What if we use that tesseract to get to him? He teleports with that thing!" I mention.
"You'll burn your hand, it's not that simple." Steve says.
"Then I won't use my human hand." I say, obviously, beginning to leave the room. And I don't care what they say, I'm going after him.
"Damnit, Adams. You're going to hurt yourself!" I hear Tony yell out to me, as I walk down all of the steps. It would be logical to use an elevator, but then I can't see where the tesseract already was.
No matter what, I was finding him.
